360 camera calibration

I have been trying to calibrate my 360 camera system with forscan and either it “completes” after the allotted 10min with no noticeable improvement in alignment or aborts because of a DTC. I’ve tried many times over the last 4 months. I know the overhead picture can be pretty seamless as I just drove a ‘24 and it was. I asked my dealer to perform a calibration with the mats and they said my picture was as it should be.

any tips or insight?

I've been following a few threads on this issue, and haven't seen a consistent solution. Mine looks about like yours. Some say that the ford software FDRS is better at aligning the camera than forscan, but when my dealer did mine after a tree took off the passenger mirror, it just moved the big blind spot (large garbage can disappears) from the passenger side rear corner to the front

appreciate the reply. I wonder if the black and white calibration mats do a better job? I have a mongoose cable, maybe I’ll poke around FDRS next time I have a license. I know the picture can be much better!

Been a few months since it came up but I believe Forscan is broken and FDRS works when it comes to calibration of cameras. I know mine lines up parking lot lines better so you should get same results when you can get it calibrated. Dealer just going to tell you it is close enough.

There is no MAT calibration for the 21s. Drive only

You would want to have all learned values deleted in the IPMA and redo all calibrations fresh

Hey Jesse,
I just want to make sure I am following correctly. Can you tell me which procedures I need to run and in what order to calibrate the 360 image. I tried just the 360 calibration in FDRS because there were several IPMA relearn procedures and I got nervous. Needless to say, it didn’t improve much.

One of those should be for road lane markings and the other for 360 cameras. I'm curious how much improvement you see from it. Eventually I plan to replace front emblem and maybe the grille that might hurt my alignment.

have you raised the truck at all? before i did the calibration I changed the ride height of my truck in one of the modules since i had front level and bigger tires. i cant remember which but it was completely off. do that before calibrating the cameras. i think you get the instructions if you go to lane centring calibration.

Did you replace either of those yet? I want to swap both but I’m not sure how bad the alignment process will be.

It is on the list of many things I keep saying I'll do but then never get around to it. Haven't purchased the emblems yet.
