I have a 2021 F-150 4x4 SuperCrew 145” Wheelbase 3.5L V6 Ecoboost with a 3.55 Rear Axle 7050# GVWR with the 360-degree camera package. VIN 1FTFW1E83MFC78780. I had standard manual fold mirrors with BLIS, puddle lights, cameras & turn signals. I found someone that had bought a 2022 F-150 that came with manual fold tow mirrors with the same options as my standard mirrors. We met up and swapped mirrors, everything “works” but not 100% correctly. I now have 2 issues (which I THINK are related to the cameras not being calibrated correctly).
I have one DTC message on the IPMA – B1578:78-2F. I tried the self-tests and I tried to manually turn it off but I can’t clear this message.
I am not sure if this is the reason I can’t calibrate the 360 cameras or not. I have tried over a dozen times in many different parking lots to get the sync to work. Most of the time it said test aborted. Twice I got this Not Calibrated log:
(OK) [12:58:00.540] IPMA 360° View Camera Calibration has been started
(WARN) [12:58:17.990] Executing service procedure...
(WARN) [13:08:33.049] Front Camera Calibration Status: Not Calibrated
(WARN) [13:08:33.052] Left Camera Calibration Status: Not Calibrated
(WARN) [13:08:33.054] Rear Camera Calibration Status: Not Calibrated
(WARN) [13:08:33.056] Right Camera Calibration Status: Not Calibrated
(OK) [13:08:33.063] Service procedure completed successfully
The final time I got this:
(OK) [16:02:35.075] IPMA 360° View Camera Calibration has been started
(WARN) [16:02:40.878] Executing service procedure...
(WARN) [16:12:55.093] Front Camera Calibration Status: Success
(WARN) [16:12:55.095] Left Camera Calibration Status: Success
(WARN) [16:12:55.096] Rear Camera Calibration Status: Success
(WARN) [16:12:55.098] Right Camera Calibration Status: Success
(OK) [16:12:55.104] Service procedure completed successfully.
That was 3 days ago, I drive my truck daily and it didn’t help. Even on the calibration screen it still looked off after it got to 100%. I have attached a screen shot with areas circled in red below.
So I still have both issues.
Thanks for looking and any help!
- When I back up I get the “Reverse Brake Assist Not Available See Manual” error message. I have disabled it but then I get the message that it’s disabled. It’s just a nuisance but I would like to fix it.
- My 360 view is out of alignment. I think the “stitching” is off. I am so used to using it when I’m backing into a parking spot that it’s throwing me off.
