BlueCruise Pricing Lowered For Both Annual & Monthly Fees

We wanted to let you know that if you have an annual or monthly BlueCruise subscription plan or are coming up on the end of your 90-day complimentary trial, Ford is lowering the annual and monthly pricing plan for all BlueCruise-equipped vehicles. Here are the details:

• New pricing will be $495 annually and $49.99 monthly.
• This new pricing goes into effect today, October 1, 2024.
• If you are a current BlueCruise customer, you will see the new price reflected on your next payment.
• If you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle, BlueCruise can be easily activated via the FordPass app under the Connected Services tile.

We are also pleased to share that if you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle you can now earn and redeem FordPass® Rewards Points toward a BlueCruise subscription. If you’d like to use your Points, simply go to the FordPass app under the Connected Services tile, and choose to redeem your Points for some or all of your BlueCruise subscription. You also now earn Points when you purchase BlueCruise!

I still think we should get a much longer “trial”. Especially on a truck that costs this much…

A Ford rep called me last week about subscribing and, while I really liked BlueCruise during my trial subscription, I just don't do enough highway driving to justify the current annual pricing - even at this new level. I am glad to see the drop in the monthly pricing, which could come in handy for road trips. I would really like to see multi-year options for an even lower annualized price - wishful thinking, but maybe something like 3-years for $695 and 5-years for $995.

I think Ford is actually being way more savvy about the subscription to Bluecruise than we might think.



When introduced, it was being prepaid for 3 years at vehicle purchase. I don't remember exactly what I paid on my 2022, but I think it was similar, and pretty much a carryover from the inaugural 2021 trucks.

As the 2021 subscriptions began to near their end, the forum members began reporting a couple of different renewal offers that were much less expensive than the now infamous Public Announced Bluecruise subscription $800 annually.



Ford knows very well the feedback on the forums for the public announced pricing. And they haven't budged on it publicly either. Yet we continue to see various members getting private subscription offers that are far le$$



It's starting to look very intentional.

$495 comes across as a discounted offer when you have already been conditioned to object to official Bluecruise pricing.

Ford KNOWS they have a new revenue stream. Now they need to probe to see just where the real tipping point exist. Those rascals. Lol

Pandora is free , yes you get commercials and it's owned by xm Sirius.

I should ammend my previous post regarding the official public subscription price of Bluecruise, though. Because this IS Ford officially and publicly lowering the previous official publicly announced subscription rate.

And moving much closer to a price that will have me biting. ?
At least on my Land Yacht road tripper, which is far more likely to be on Bluecruise roads.
The Mach-E daily beater? Not so much. That would require a much lower subscription price.

Ford will figure this out.
They'll be irritating many during the process, of course. ?

So the Ford ad says "90 day trial". But my trial seems to go well into next year. I've had the truck for 2 years already? Is my account glitched or something? The irony is I don't even use blue cruise. Yet it looks like I've got three years worth...

No. They have no ability to push OTAs on-demand. The may start a program and comp dealers for installing the new software that's been available for nearly a year now until they actually push these OTAs out. Depending on vehicle's current status, could need 3-5 module updates to become compliant. This didn't go well last time they mass deployed them.

You could use a mongoose rental thread or find someone local willing to spend at least 2 hrs to get you up to date.
