I got a Cervini ram air hood and had it professionally painted.....I love it. You have to install the underside of the ram air ducts yourself, for which I recommend a drill and screws with some epoxy in the holes. Once it's installed, the outlet for the hood duct opens up directly above the airbox location, which means that cold air intakes with the view port removed like the rotomolded AFE options mate up "good enough" with zero extra effort.

What is up with ford and paint -- this is just out of control.

How in the hell are these leaving the factory like this!?!?!?!

Out of curiosity, where was your truck produced? Dearborn or KC?

the cowl hood has been ordered, I figured if I’m going to have a brand new truck that has been painted on. I’d much rather have an improvement done from fixing the issue. imo.

How old is that? Was it missed on delivery as well? And what the heck is going on in the paint booth with these 24’s ??

to be clear we're all looking at the same thing, what is in question here? The "blueish" part on the hood?

Yes. The blueish area is primer coat bleeding through. Both sides of hood look like that, with that side being worse. Also the small Vallys are thin in the bottom as well

The paint issues are abundant. Mine and another guy’s have spots like this all over the truck. Check your door jambs and the back sides of the doors too.

sad thing is, it’s across all manufactures, just google any brand “xxxxx thin paint”. And you’ll find forums discussing the same thing.
