I've been getting a clicking/snapping sound recently and I'm wondering if its those rear axle bolts as well. Also have a PB with max tow.

Just got it back from dealer after 2 weeks. Sound has been deemed normal by Ford. It is the front gear box on the transmission and gets louder the warmer it is out. There is a bulletin from Ford saying that it is expected and normal. I am actually more annoyed now that this is acceptable during design phase. At least they put water proof tape to stop leaking around light covers and power box in bed. Two weeks of rental doesn't seem worth the free service

I know the recall is official now, but just had squeaking at low speed while turning and took to the dealer—— axle bolt went on mine as well.
The noteworthy thing for mine was that I heard it from the driver side with my head out the window doing low speed tight turns in a parking lot; passenger was doing the same on the other side and didn’t hear anything, but it was passenger side axle bolt that went—just in case that has happened to anyone.
