22 Powerboost Misfire

22 PB, 12K miles. Coming home from a weekend of camping yesterday and stopped for a car wash. After leaving the car wash I get a bad stutter on acceleration and flashing check engine light. I pulled over asap and got the following codes via and obd2 reader:
P0300: Random Misfire
P0301: Cylinder 1 misfire
P0302: Cylinder 2 misfire
P0303: Cylinder 3 misfire
P21D0: Cylinder 2 injector "B" circuit/open

I'd like to think a simple drive through touchless car wash didn't cause this, but it literally happened pulling out of their driveway. At the dealer now so we'll see what the issue is.

I had a similar occurance when I stomped on the gas to get up to speed up a hill on a highway, chk engine light came on and within seconds the light went off and back to normal, after I pulled over thinking I broke something. Its been a year since. 2021 PB. I did not have a code reader so not sure what it was.

Thats strange that it never came back. Mine was persistent and the dealer claims they have to remove the intake manifold to get to the wiring they believe is damaged. Still waiting to hear more

I never pushed it that hard again. we will see what happens when I smash the peddle like that again. This was january 2023 in CT. cold engine.

Problem solved. Dealer stated it was rodent damage. Replaced an injector assembly. Seems to be running fine now after a short test drive.

Guess it makes sense if it was rodent damage, then got wet and shorted. Glad you got it sorted out.

Turns out it wasn’t a mouse at all. I tried to get the mechanic to point out exactly where the issue was but he was gone for the day. Feel free to read.

That's a far more likely cause for some of the issues we see on these modern vehicles. I'm kinda impressed that a mechanic showed the necessary skills and procedures to trace that down. (Rather than replacing modules, I mean)

It only took two visits
