Sorry, meant to say Android Automotive, not Android Auto. What changed? Confused.
The PB needs more payload capacity and more hybrid battery capacity (maybe PHEV). When I saw The “F-200” trademark was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on August 28 2023, I thought that is what I was looking for! With my 2024 PB being built in 2 weeks, my luck says they will announce it the any day now... ?Yes, everything is there for an extraordinary mapping experience: connectivity and a high resolution 12" screen. But the Sync mapping app is 15 years behind.
The big hole in the PowerBoost lineup is better support for pulling a trailer. The F-150 PowerBoost and GMC commercials are running constantly and both are pulling an Airstream in every ad. But the PowerBoost has not been optimized for towing aside from the torque kick you get with the traction motor. As I decend these mountain grades out West having watched MPG drop to 7 and the Li battery deplete very quickly going up the grade with the Airstream in tow, I watch the tiny Powerboost high voltage battery top off very quickly leaving so much opportunity for regenerative braking on the table going down the hill.
What we need is a PowerBoost trailer towing option with a higher GW and a bigger battery. The reason we don't have that option probably has more to do with obsoleting the F-250 (and higher) than feasibility.
I mostly agree. My PB tows my ~7000# TT very well, but I also don't expect great mileage with a half ton. When the PBs were first introduced with the max tow package I think many of us had high hopes with the "promise" of an outstanding towing experience. I certainly hope the hybrid F250 might be the whole package though!Yes, everything is there for an extraordinary mapping experience: connectivity and a high resolution 12" screen. i hope not.I bet they do the new step inside the bumper like the SuperDutys.
That is supposedly no longer a problem. There are many many of us with I dare say a very very low annual tax
They just upgraded in 24, they're not going to touch anything until at least 26-28.By this time last year we pretty well understood what new features and options would be coming for the 2024 F-150 line. This year there are very few leaks and spy photos of the 2025 F-150 line up. What does that mean? Better security from Ford protecting information about new models? Or, does it mean nothing changes. Has anybody seen any detailed information about the 2025 F-150 product lineup?
I too have not found the answer in the inflation creation act..That is supposedly no longer a problem.
One of the Inflation Restoration Act provisions allows the credit to be transferred to the dealer at time of sale. This apparently works around the non-refundable credit problem for those of us without much taxable income. I haven't encountered a straight-on answer yet, but it appears that it qualifies with your income for the cap, but then credits the dealer's taxes without regard to your own liability.
I have nothing resembling a pension, and the overwhelming majority of my retirement funds are in Roth, so even substantial withdrawals don't trigger taxable income. I actually have to make
sure I either draw enough from the non-Roth, or do enough conversions by the end of the year, to avoid being forcibly placed on medicaid (again). [and once you hit 55, medical is *not* insurance, but an advance against your estate!]
I came here to essentially write this…they can’t get the high trim trucks off of quality hold…and missing revenue numbers quarter after quarter. There is obviously a big problem or problems they can’t solve with the 24s. The 25s probably won’t arrive until 26, maybe they should skip an entire model year and just start on the 26s so they can deliver them before ‘27.Not sure what everyone thinks Ford is going to improve on the MY25 when they can't even get all of the orders out correctly and even fulfill orders that were put in 9 months ago. Ford is going to keep pumping out MY24s and call them MY25s.
Looking at cargurus.com for nationwide 2024 units, these numbers are beyond interesting.I came here to essentially write this…they can’t get the high trim trucks off of quality hold…and missing revenue numbers quarter after quarter.
