By this time last year we pretty well understood what new features and options would be coming for the 2024 F-150 line. This year there are very few leaks and spy photos of the 2025 F-150 line up. What does that mean? Better security from Ford protecting information about new models? Or, does it mean nothing changes. Has anybody seen any detailed information about the 2025 F-150 product lineup?

I don't expect to see anything new from a 25 F150 except maybe sync migration to the new android powered system. It just got refreshed for 24, some of which is parts from 23 SD (like HUD). The 22 Expedition was refreshed from the F150s. W/ a new explorer and expedition dropping as well as the mav, not sure if they'd do too much.

A PB update would be a welcome sight.

That was one of my questions. Many will recall during a Ford earnings call in July 2023 they said a new PowerBoost model would be coming it the 2024 model year. That never happened, most likely cancelled when Ford finally realized they misjudged the appetite for the Lightning and started cancelling programs. But given the popularity of the PowerBoost and the pending Ramcharger, it is hard to believe Ford would not be making changes to the PowerBoost. Those changes probably would not be apparent in spy photos.

If they were wise, I'd expect a more potent version of the PB as well as an 'easy' path to make it a tax-credit eligible vehicle ala PHEV (only needs a 15kWh batt for that and sub $80k, suggest them go larger). Furthermore I'd expect the 250 PB to utilize a lot of its components. The math is simple -- larger motor, larger battery (hybrid only version, not PHEV), migrate to components that can be cross platformed as much as possible in the 400v architecture (current PB has some 300v specific parts).

An expedition version seems logical, but they already only put a 23g gas tank in it. They've been able to fit a large batt into the explorer and aviator for PHEV versions, so I'd expect a hybrid expedition, though maybe not on launch. Lots of new in 25 already. Curious given the expedition and F150 commonality, if they use it this round to buildout 15th gen's interior, then go in hard on the 26 F150. Does another motor go the way of the diesel and the 3.3 with the hybridization push?

Man, I wish those of us with older gen14 trucks would also get upgraded to Android Automotive. Can't stand Sync navigation with its outdated maps and would love to not need AA to listen to Youtube music!

And...the maverick was designed to have 2 batteries vice the one it has now in hybrid
Space is already allocated in the undercarriage
Why not drop the 2nd battery in??
The tax credit scam is just that
If we ate going to blow my tax dollars, then just have big g take 7500 off my best price .
There are many many of us with I dare say a very very low annual tax
I am 100% disabled veteran, so that is not taxed
My navy retainer is taxed. Even though I paid tax on those earnings while on active duty.
I invested smart. And thus my fed tax is less than 2k a year
So i don't get 7500 tax credit, you can't amorotize it out over years.
Just as bad as the huge tax incentives for solar
My home is zero mortgage
And since texas loves veterans I pay no property to tax to use to offset the solar tax breaks.
Now back to 2025
To much going on at ford's other cash cows to do anything more than maybe cleanup package deletes
New explorer with new infotainment is already behind schedule and had many explorers , sitting waiting on software updates, so they are not shipping
Ford should take an easy button
Mavs, sell fast, SDs and 150s, followed by expedition..get them right. No more glue failures on windowstye second time
Put features back we want...
Glare free lighting for example

The tax credit is a moving bar, but based on my last understanding of it, the only gating it does is based on max income. It's a POS credit applicable at time of sale, not something you get back over time based on taxable income.

Yes, everything is there for an extraordinary mapping experience: connectivity and a high resolution 12" screen. But the Sync mapping app is 15 years behind.

The big hole in the PowerBoost lineup is better support for pulling a trailer. The F-150 PowerBoost and GMC commercials are running constantly and both are pulling an Airstream in every ad. But the PowerBoost has not been optimized for towing aside from the torque kick you get with the traction motor. As I decend these mountain grades out West having watched MPG drop to 7 and the Li battery deplete very quickly going up the grade with the Airstream in tow, I watch the tiny Powerboost high voltage battery top off very quickly leaving so much opportunity for regenerative braking on the table going down the hill.

What we need is a PowerBoost trailer towing option with a higher GW and a bigger battery. The reason we don't have that option probably has more to do with obsoleting the F-250 (and higher) than feasibility.

It probably means they haven't started and they have no clue

Maybe a new color like that baby ice blue from the '24 Super Duty's.

Correct they can apply it at time of purchase as a sort of down payment..the problem is..you have to taxable income that gets you in thst zone
If government wants to use our tax dollars to give to folks as a tax break or down-payment. That's great.
But it should apply to every person that pays income tax.
Not a carved out segment. Because it's all our money as a collective

Remember when we got a yearly tax credit, albeit small for desiel powered vehicles. They should do that, vice a flat tax deduction, so it gives everyone a credit
Say 700 a year for 7 years . Or so
Back on topic.. baby ice blue?????
