I love the DRLs on my 24 XLT 301A. I absolutely hated the headlight riming DRLs on the previous models. I was thrilled to see Ford changed headlight and DRL configuration with the new grill. To each his or her own, but I'm in the major upgrade camp.
How do the 24’s headlights compare to the 21-23s LED reflectors as far as performanc? Are the brighter? Dimmer? Sharper beam pattern?

people are also complaining the the led reflector headlights on the 2024 have terrible visibility compared to the quad led reflector in the 2021-2023’s.

plus the 2021-2023 led reflector setup and light pipe look more elegant than 2024.

I'm surprised DOT/NHTSA hasn't got onto manufacturers putting LEDs in vehicles designed to tow / carry loads that cause the light to dazzle oncoming vehicles. They're putting out considerably more light and it's starting to get out of hand.

I have nothing to compare the LED's reflectors to. I can't answer that. I also haven't driven yet at night. All I can compare is the looks of the 24 XLT headlights and grill, which I love to the earlier models.

2024 XL,STX and XLT get the amber DRL's and no light pipes. Lariat + retain the white light pipe DRL's.

Am I the only one who doesn’t mind the new front end? I did hate it when I first saw it but after I’ve seen 4-5 in person I like it. The LED orange bars on the new lower trims modernize the look vs the old halogen amber like I have.

I don't mind the 2024 XLT grill/light combo, and only reason I consider it a downgrade is they took something away compared to 21-23. Perhaps less is more but technically it's a decontent. Light pipes remain on the higher trims.

I mean the forum logo is based on the light pipes.....lol

The 24’s have a face only a mother could love ?
Most of them do. This right here is another story. Would look better w/ the 23 BAP badge on the front. They should have smoked the DRL bars though and just increased the brightness. Love the blacked out look of the new lights.

It’s a downgrade in my eyes. I love seeing the 21-23 DRL’s coming towards me on the road.

I spent $50,490 and have neither ?, I do love the look of the blackout halogens during the day. I turned DRL’s off so the yellow lights are off when driving. Once dusk hits and the yellow lights turn on it loses that sharp look though.

and see I prefer the halogens on the pre-facelift over the new LED’s on the 24+ too! Great looking truck! And even better price.

That does look sharp, I just wish the bap came with the tremor hood vents still. The new ram hood vent look they went with looks way less aggressive and kinda cheap.

US lighting regs are horribly outdated. It's why we cannot get the nifty matrix LED lighting from the European Mfgs, and the glare-free option is disabled in the US.

Comically the IIHS has tried to make headlights better by putting in a test for headlights, but I saw a headline that basically said instead of making it better Mfg have just started gaming the test. They are blanking out the test spots for glare. The real world impact is that the headlights glare worse.

Matrix headlights are now legal in the US. What's dumb is the maximum lumens for brights when no cars are present. They are quite outdated though. The report on it from 2022 is crazy long if you're down to read it.
