For the price we pay, this level of quality is unacceptable.

I rented an escape this week that was carbonized grey and the peel was just as bad as what is posted here.

this appears to be a global ford issue and not just trucks

Note, that link is for home painting and does not apply to automotive finishes.
For some reason I cant open that link anymore and my other browser says its not secure. No matter, point is it could be an issue so if I buy a Ford I’ll be sure to spend much more time researching this then just relying on Google. ?

I used to be a Toyota fan and owned a 2001 Tundra V8. I loved that truck until the frame rotted out. That 4.7 liter v8 really woke up when I replaced the very restrictive exhaust manifolds with JBA shorty headers and a Spintech muffler, and under drive pulley. In 2003 it put down over 220 horsepower to the rear wheels when all my buddies with their Fords and Chevys put down less on that same inertia dynamometer even though they were rated more at the crank. For the time it was impressive. With a four speed automatic I got 0-60 MPH in 6.88 seconds. At the track it ran a 60-foot time in about 2.2 seconds (if I remember right) and the quarter mile in 15.3 seconds at 88.66 mph. By todays standards that is not impressive but back then it was considered fast for a mildly modified truck. I surprised many so called sports cars and similar vehicles back then. From 30 mph to about 70 mph that thing was a beast. ? At just 1100 rpm it put down more torque than the 3.4-liter v6 did at its peak.
