2024 Interior change - instrument cluster/center stack trim

I've spent longer than I care to admit searching, and I couldn't find a thread about this. Apologies if there is one. Surprised there's not more talk about it!

Anybody notice the dashboard change in 2024? Looks like you can get both the new and the old versions depending on... I'm not entirely sure, maybe just the interior color? Seems to be available on Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum. Not sure about XLT and below, but I couldn't find it by configuring one. It doesn't seem to be connected with any particular Sport or console package that I could find. Seems really odd to me.

I really don't like the new look. I'm sick of manufacturers turning pickups into wannabe freight trains. Huge grills, giant dashboards, etc. And the new trim is just a plastic filler piece between the instrument cluster and center stack. It's big, blank, and ugly (again, all IMO). I feel like it ruins the nice horizontal lines of the original dash, and makes the passenger side look out-of-place. Bleh.

What are your thoughts? Anybody specifically seeking this out in a new build? Indifferent? Hate it? I'd love to hear your discussion on it.

Thats a pity. The old style was perfect positioning for a Pro Clip base to add things. The positioning in relation to the vent and main screen was perfect.

I believe the new dash is on HUD equipped models. For instance, the Platinum 701 has the old dash but the 702 & 703 have the new dash.

I've been kinda curious if the new digital dash and 12" center screen now standard on the 2024 XL regular cabs is the same across all trims.. I know the higher levels will have screens/features I won't get so that will be different but will there be less options for other things like displays?

The one thing I don't like is my RPM gauge no longer has a numerical display like the speedometer.

I like the 2024 menu option to add the numerical value to the four gauges and in the menu is an engine option that displays all the numerical values including the battery charge.

Not really the thread for that... or this... I'm wondering if FORScan can enable the transmission gear display full-time too.

No numerical display in the tach sucks in my opinion. Hopefully there’s a way to enable that?

I know this is an old thread but I find if you hit the "+" button on the shifter it will display the 1 - 10 gears on the dash. It seems to default to off on every startup however. MY2024.
