Idling for 60 minutes over 245 miles will really tamp down mileage. It will get the listed mileage if you do your part. If you just drive it while ignoring economic starting and stopping techniques, you won't see good mileage.
I think the hard ICE transitions have been fixed in 24 by removing the belt driven starter. My 24 PB is buttery smooth. The only indication of ICE starting under normal acceleration is the RPMs
and oil pressure coming back on.
