I have the same truck with 17k miles and power at any time is not a problem, according to my wife it is the opposite, she is never thrilled when I get after it. Hauls ass when I so desire. Funny I had Ram hemi get a little frisky on the turnpike late one night a month ago, my Tremor was at 104 mph quick and they decided not to play anymore. I was shocked how quick I got to 104 from 65. It probably was a dumb thing but now I know, lol.
What fuel are you running? I’ll keep throwing top shelf 94 in mine to give it the best fighting chance of getting to advertised power levels. I’ll give it a few tanks to adapt.

Another thing I’m curious about is if my knock sensor could be picking up some exhaust rattles and pulling timing? Has anyone experienced this? Or is it just a theory people throw out there.
I do have a slight exhaust rattle sometimes revving in park. (Noticed when I did an oil change last week)
Probably a heat shield somewhere. I’ll find it and cure that on my next days off.

I fill up at half tank and alternate between 89 and 92. Never really noticed a huge difference other than 87 compared to 94. No doubt top shelf makes a difference. Seems something is off with your truck. Not sure what or why but hopefully you can get to the bottom of it.

No way you're ever going to get it an accurate 0 to 60 time using a stopwatch. A dragy would be great or maybe there's some type of app you could download on your phone that would be a little more accurate than a stop watch.

If you really think the truck is down on power I would start by checking for codes, do a boost leak test, and maybe even a compression and leak down test if you're really worried.

These newer trucks are built so well and are so smooth and quiet, it makes them feel slower than what they really are.

Another option would be to find a buddy with a truck and line them up to see what happens 😀.

Yea, I agree my method of measuring 0-60 isn’t as accurate as a draggy. But I’m not off by a full second. If anything my times might be worse as I start the clock once I’m rolling. A computer would trigger sooner.
Like I said. I’m not looking to drag race my truck. Timing the 0-60 is only me trying quantify my loss of power for comparison.
The reason I started timing was this truck felt low on power compared to my old hemi ram and slower than my gen 1 3.5EB.
I do appreciate the reply. And a straight up drag race would expose any loss in power.

This is a very real thing, a loose heat shield or anything else that gets picked up by the knock sensors can severely limit boost pressure and spark advance, and cause your truck to be down well over 100HP.

Thanks. This would make sense. I’ll make sure to update once I can investigate further.

Yeah must be something going on. I recently picked up a 22 with the 3.5...came from a 2012 with 5.0. This think is a rocket ship ...except much quieter lol. Definitely not lacking in the power dept and sport mode puts a smile on my face. Run in normal 98% of time and running 89 pretty much exclusively. Let us know what you find.
