Hood Flex / Flutter at Highway Speeds?

My 22 F150 is tight as a drum, however the 22 Maverick I previously had, had the exact same hood fluttering problem. No amount of adjusting the rubber stops would cure it, it just made the hood harder to slam ?

What’s the Vaseline or chapstick trick? Are the bump stops basically just supposed to barely touch the bottom of the hood?

I haven’t noticed this on my ‘23, hood seems nice and tight even in high winds
