And strangely I got all new graphics on my dashboard display when I used BC several days ago. At that time I had not submitted my renewal. There are no updates showing when I look at the app or in vehicle and my sync version still shows the same version and build as it’s had for months. Seems odd.

Sh*t happens. It's not exclusive to the MME, but it is very rare. It recently went "viral". It sucks, but FDRS can fix it and so can you know who with forscan.

I dunno if it’s a hardware thing (flash memory) or a software thing but if it’s a software thing I hope in 2024 Ford figures out a way to push updates without my dash settings (My View & Left/Right Gages) resetting every time a power blip is required. I mean, it doesn’t seem that tricky…

That's all fine until I get to work and an update fails in the parking lot. I'd be pissed off for sure. I know it has to be a very rare event though and probably happens to those in the early access program testing updates.

Cost of an Uber to go get my laptop plus FDRS subscription is better than dealing with a dealer to get it fixed.

People have been using that pic to drag EV's through the mud not knowing it can happen to any vehicle that gets OTA's. Ford and other manufacturers have systems in place to help prevent this from happening including software rollbacks which I have seen happen in the OTA process a few times. Like I said: Sh*t happens. These events are rare enough where we don't need to be concerned with them.

I have been trying to install 6.4 for about a week to no avail. Read yesterday that parking brake needs to be set, set last night and still not updated. Why wont this update ? Any other suggestions ?

Probably due to low charge. Try after a long drive or hook up a charger and charge your battery.

I would need your VIN to check. I know Ford recommends having the parking brake on, but I've never had my parking brake on when I got an OTA, and I haven't seen PTS report the reason an update failed was due to the parking brake not being on.
