I added a link to it in the OP. Thanks again for all your help. It is very nice to look at. I will leave the Excel sheets in the OP as well for anyone that may prefer Excel.

Excel sheet on OP has been updated to reflect 4.2.2 and 4.2.3. From the data I have gathered, it seems 4.2.2 is only going to 2022 trucks, but I don't want to say that is 100% accurate until I gather more info. I think 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 is for 2022's, and 4.2.1.2 and 4.2.2.1 is for 2023 trucks.

4.2.1 is definitely going to both 2022 and 2023 trucks.

Meanwhile, 2021 trucks are getting a whooooooooole lotta nothing.

If it comes to the 2022's then it will eventually trickle down to the 21's.

I believe that makes total sense!

The 2022 is the bridge between 2021/2023 in more ways than the obvious. In my opinion

I'm worried about changes made to the module part numbers in 2023's they aren't just revision changes they are entirely new numbers for the major modules like the GWM, IPMA, and TCU.

It's like they are actively trying to make sure we can't easily update the software on earlier builds..
What I am happy about is that Ford seems to be actively trying to bring the software of the GWM, and APIM's into alignment across the vehicle lines so that's good.

Yea, I can not say the same about a 2023 being a bridge between 2022-2024. For the reasons you mentioned.

It's reasonable to believe that at some point in the future, a 2023/2024 might get an update that a 2022 will not. Thus neither would a 2021.

If I still had my 2021, right or wrong I wouldn't be necessarily watching what a 2023 (2024) gets, but rather a 2022. If that makes sense.

At this point, it is safe to say 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 are only for all 2022 trucks, and 4.2.1.2 and 4.2.2.1 are only for the 2023 model year. I'll update the excel sheet tomorrow.

Kinda like what they did with 3.5.3 and 3.5.3.2. with the exception of excluding the 2021 from the initial release.

My 2021 is stuck on 3.5.2. My dealer insists that they are showing I am fully up to date when they plug it in. I told them the full screen CarPlay came out in September so that’s not possible that I’m fully updated. Any recommendations I can give them or steer them towards the solution? There’s so way I’m fully updated if everyone else has full screen CarPlay and I don’t. My VIN is 1FTEW1EP4MFA80566

Post number 1077 of someone reporting a dealership reporting the vehicle uptodate.

I just wish they were willing to tell the customer the truth...... "No, your vehicle isn't completely uptodate, but regretfully we can't update your truck for free"

Which they shouldn't be expected to do in the first place.

Sorry, but that's the way things are currently with OTA. You either wait for the OTA to succeed, or you take matters into your own hands and update it yourself.
