The Sync setting keeps them out while unlocked but they retract once the truck is locked. Really looking for the boards to be out unless driving.
On my truck, like Paul said above, before ignition off I change the setting to "out" And they stay out until the next ignition cycle. I use it to save battery in case of door opens/closes while the truck is parked.

There is a configuration in FORScan for your purpose:
744-31-01xxxx****xx--Extended_Stow_Delay_Time_Cfg (ESDTC) • Seconds = Hex2Dec(****)
at maximum, you can get it out to 18.2 hours. One thing I do not know is whether or not it is overridden by locking the truck. If you try it, let us know.

Thank you! I'll try later this week once I get up north for the week and report back.

I would like to have my trans temp and engine temps displayed on my cluster as well. I have tried with forscan but have not been successful. From what I can tell, maybe it cannot be done on this truck due to not having a 12" digital cluster? I attached a pic of my dash just for clarity sake.

You have to swap to the other cluster for the temps to be displayed. Much cheeper/easier to get a bluetooth OBD2 reader and use a scanner app that projects to Carplay.

Thanks for the reply, bit of a bummer, but it is what it is....
Thanks again.

Anyone have luck on a 24/25 truck changing the power point timeout? Trying to get my rear 'cigarette lighter' to stay on for 30 minutes after turning off my truck.

Does anyone know of a Forscan setting that would only turn the bed lights on when the button is pressed and not the cab light as well? I have a tonneau cover, so the cab light is just lighting up my entire campsite when camping.

You could try these ones:
Rear_Ext_Courtesy_Mode_Cfg (RECMC)
726-81-01xxx*xxxxxx--0 =RECMC NULL2 =RECMC DOWNLIGHT
1 =RECMC BEDLIGHT3 =RECMC FLOODLIGHT
Set to 1 and/or:
White_Lighting_Ckt_Cfg (WLCC)
726-50-02xxxxxxxxx*--1 =WLCC DEFAULT_BACKLIGHTING3 =WLCC TRAILER
2 =WLCC ENGINE_STARTSTOP_BACKLIGHTING4 =WLCC BED_LAMP
Set to 4 and/or:
Puddle_Lamp_Ckt_Cfg (PLCC)
726-48-02xxxxx*xxxx--0 =PLCC CARGO4 =PLCC CHM_CARGO_TRAILER
1 =PLCC DOOR5 =PLCC CHM_CARGO
2 =PLCC NOTUSED6 =PLCC TRAILER
3 =PLCC PUDDLE
Set to 0.

one or a combination of these may do what you want, but may also have unwanted other behaviour of lighting in particular situations.

You could try:
726-57-01****xxxxxx--Power_Point_Maxtime_Cfg (PPMC) • Seconds = Hex2Dec(****) • Range: 1 - 64800
and/or:

Power_Point_Timeout_Cfg (PPTC)
726-57-01xxxxx*xxxx--0 =PPTC DISABLE1 =PPTC ENABLE
Set to 0.

if neither have any effect, then it is likely that these configurations are only applicable to the 120V AC outlets.

Bret means, for example:
- buy a cheap bluetooth dongle that plugs into the OBD port, like a VeePeak BT+ BTLE
- buy ODB Fusion and the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury add-on library for your MY of truck
- configure OBD Fusion CarPlay settings to show the relevant PIDs for items you want to monitor.

Good morning All,

Have two issues that I can’t seem to resolve on my own.

2022 F150 Platinum Powerboost

1. Heated seats are not coming on with remote start even though it’s enabled in settings, I did swap the original havc controls with a 2021 with the digitsl readout on the knobs.

2 My in cab tailgate button has stopped working, all other methods of operation work just not In cab.

Re #2 - I don't have an answer for you, but I can say that on my 2021 PB, the tailgate controls seem to randomly not work for no reason. I've had it happen with the dash button, the button on the tailgate, and the keyfob. One of them will just do nothing about 10% of the time. My solution was to forget about it, and it cured itself the next time I restarted the truck.

Ford being Ford is my best guess.

I've noticed that the heated seats only seem to activate with remote start if I had them active during the last run cycle. For the tailgate button chances are it may have failed. Cheap part to replace at about $30 and likely not all that hard to pop out. Probably can remove the lower panel under the steering column, and reach in the open space to pop the tabs out.

To note the button does light up and I swapped it out with my old traction control button (same button and plug) which also lit up but did not function.

I will probably just buy a button.

The heated seats thing is driving me extra crazy because I swore it worked fine at one point.

I will try and remember to turn them on when I get home before I shut my truck off.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe this weekend I’ll play around with those options. At least it’s something to try!
