Some modules have a switch in configuration which informs others that it is programmed correctly. If the HVAC module has one, it is not enumerated in the spreadsheet. Therefore I think the only way to get rid of that DTC would be to PMI the module in FDRS. If all HVAC functions work, and if the MIL is off, I'd ignore it if you don't want to spend money on FDRS and the mongoose. Can some of the Forscan gurus help out again? I finally have time and park truck near the house.
Issue 1:
I added a heated steering wheel few years back. I upgraded the HVAC module to have the heated steering button. Everything works fine, but I cannot get rid of the error:
I have reloaded the as-built from my old module, didn't solve it...Code:HVAC U2420 Not Programmed
Yes, it is due to the extra buttons. Again, if all steering column functions work, and if the MIL is off, I'd ignore it.Issue 2:
When swapping the steering wheel, I didn't keep my old left side buttons module (wheel sold). As a result, I had to make the change to get buttons to work:..Now there is an SCCM uneraseable error for Bus communication. Probably due to the adaptive cruise button and the distance button. I don't use the distance button and regular cruise control works.
Is this fixable via Forscan or do I need to get my old module equivalent back?
Thanks.
