If the adapter is plugged into the laptop the light will be orange on adapter but should go green when plugged into the OBD port once you put ignition in accessory mode so not sure what the issue is here; I don't currently have Windows 11 on my devices so I haven't experienced this problem.

Maybe open a support ticked with OBDLink here at the bottom: https://www.obdlink.com/support/ex/
Yeah, it does turn green when I plug it in. Super weird. Thanks for the tip, I'll open a support ticket with them.

@YzermanTopShelf
What do you have set in your connection settings?
Open forscan
Click on settings (Gear Icon)
Click Connections Tab
Should have a Connection type box. You can either set it to COM or Auto. There is also a Auto Connect box next to that. Select that box.

@antho this appears to work, at least FORScan says "Connection to adapter has been established: COM3" which I've never gotten before. Now to go try plugging it into the truck. Thanks!

anyone here messed with and been able to figure out the 'cluster IoDs' on the APIM module? I've enabled some and cannot figure out what they are doing....as in, cannot find where to access them/use them. Just wondering if anyone has any insight on this?

additionally, are there any additional 'cards' you can add to the IPC? is there a way to limit what can be seen on the IPC? I'd love to get rid of 'trip 2'

@antho this definitely worked. I'm able to connect to the truck now. I backed up all my modules except SOBDMC. When I try to load/start it (e.g. the little "play" button) I get an error: "Service procedure has been interrupted". I've tried it a few times - same result. I googled this error and found a few posts of people saying that getting a different/new OBD hardware solved their problem. Hoping there is another solution.

When trying to backup all modules before writing my mods, I managed to back them all up but the SOBDMC. Can't imagine I'll be making any changes to that module anyway but was curious before proceeding if anyone else has had this issue? When I run it, I get a service procedure has been interrupted fault. Thanks!
@Sbdavis1 @El Amigo did either of you ever figure this one out? I'm guessing I can safely change any of the other modules without worrying about SOBDMC?

Yes, you can make changes to all the other modules regardless of not being able to backup the SOBDMC.

If you don't have the large 12" Sync display then you won't have the IoD cards that would appear on the right hand margin as shown below in the red outline. I haven't found (or tried) a way to remove trip2 from the cluster menu so not sure on that.

Which ones specifically were you trying and did you reset the APIM afterwards?

Building..
Mine does the same. Point in fact, it does it to the passenger door too. As soon as I hit the lock button, out they come.
The behavior of the Lincoln auto fold on my truck is quite random. I like the Lincoln auto fold for the convenience of not have my mirror motors working every time I need to get into or out of my truck without driving it. Oh well.

@didiasku

I think the Cluster IOD is really from a Bronco. The Bronco cluster appears to have a IOD Screen on the side. So that could be why that info doesnt work.

I've searched quite a bit but can't find instructions on how to reset the transmission via FORScan. I noticed that the FORScan spreadsheet mentions doing a doing the PCM/TCM relearn when changing the tire size. That relearn includes the transmission, right? Are there instructions for it somewhere? Thanks!

I added a Lightning-specific FHCM (Front Hatch Control Module) to the spreadsheets today and I added a Lightning-specific HCM (Headlamp Control Module) spreadsheet a few days ago.

Love the Lincoln auto fold, just hate it when puddle light is also disabled permanently when using that change on these trucks.

I've started adding FORScan spreadsheets here for anyone interested: https://bit.ly/3cJnYMS

Currently the newest version of FORScan can only change the BCM and 1/3 of the IPC (cluster) versions so when that changes I'll add the other modules as well.

My FORScan tutorial is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-8dKaS_Spu4Zw4hV_CrKC4tLoP9G8yejqegF1wxIqxY/edit
Do you know if you can turn on the telescoping function for tow mirrors with Forscan? The instructions say to use the FDRS software.
