So I used forscan on my truck today for the first time. I was enabling the kicker subwoofer and power fold mirrors. As you know, the mirrors need to be set up in both DDM and PDM. After setting the drivers mirror to Ford auto fold, I cycled the ignition to test and sure enough, the power fold worked on the drivers door. So not thinking anything of it, I left it folded in. I returned to forscan and setup the passenger mirror in PDM, cycled ignition, tested, success. But wait… what’s this, the mirrors were now out of sync. And NOTHING I did would change it. Resetting forscan (one door at a time, and then both), physically syncing the mirrors, NOTHING. They would always return themselves to out-of-sync. Well I ended up inversing the motor direction (this is a setting in forscan) on one mirror and this did resolve it. They now work with the power fold button. Weird.

Now here’s the remaining issue. I set them both to Ford auto fold but they do not do so upon exit + fob lock. Neither does global window open or close, which I did enable in forscan. What am I missing?
@BUDXR7

Hard to tell what you’re missing without your actual asbuilt data. That leaves way too much guess work. Post up the actual Values you changed for each function.

Has anyone done any adjustments to their CMR?

I don't know if its just that I am tall, but when I am in BC the monitor is constantly barking at me if I look at the IPC/Radio for even 5 seconds.

I've looked the stuff in the spreadsheet, but admittedly dont understand the vernacular.

Does anyone know what these mean and what kind of adjustments may be possible?

7C1-01-01xxxxx*xxxx--Time constant for Ignition Switch Stable signal (TISS)
7C1-01-01xxxxxx**xx--Time constant for inhibit EDR from being overwritten (TEDR)
7C1-01-01xxxxxxxx**--Time constant for Re-entering Sleep Mode (TRSM)
7C1-01-02**xxxx--Time constant for obtaining Camera Out of Position Image (TCOPI)
7C1-01-02xx*xxx--DEL Sensitivity (DELS)
7C1-01-02xxx*xx--DIL Sensitivity (DILS)
7C1-01-02xxxx*x--IR Debounce Multiplier (IRDM)
7C1-01-02xxxxx*--CAM Debounce Multiplier (CAMDM)

It's just the way it is, I'm short and it does the same thing in BC mode, just lane center gives ~10 seconds before alerting but BC is much shorter

Ford had my truck in the service department and all the changes I made in Forscan were changed back to the original even though they had been written to the asbuilt data at Motorcraft for at least 9 months. The only one that didn't get changed back to default was the backup camera banner that blocks the view. They must have a master file they can use to default the as builts.

ouch

my dealer is forscan friendly and have done their own vehicles to make some changes

why did your dealer feel they needed to mess with your programming?

Not sure why all the settings got removed but they have a headlight issue that they have been unable to fix.

To give them credit, they may have thought reverting to defaults would help the headlight issue?

I have a master save of every individual module that I update any time I make a change, it has saved me a huge hassle more than one time

Yea..I just cant beleive there is no way to make it 15 seconds or trick the system somehow....I feel like this is my mission in life right now.
I would love to figure out how to make it longer, I believe it is something hard coded into the IPMA as any time I have had an LED fault from blocking the door LED with my arm it reports in both the CMR and the IPMA

Can you expand on how and where you see it reported in the IPMA and CMR?

it’s my understanding the IR LED sensors are wired to the CMR itself. Based on your comment it makes me believe the CMR is simply detecting the obstruction and sending to the IPMA where the actual logic resides?

If I pull the network DTCs in FDRS or even just the forscan DTC list it will show something like a CMR led module failure In the CMR as well as the IPMA will show just some kind of generic internal module failure or fault the IPMA also holds the code for all of the lane keep, perimeter sensors radar etc.

I figure that's why they did it and they also replaced the HCM to try and fix the problem with the headlights but they are still broken.
