As with any vehicle, those with problems with their cars are much more vocal than those who don't have issues. I've already run into an issue of my own, bringing the truck in twice within 10 days of purchase. I believe (hope) it to be a simple programming fix, but we will see. I don't want to do a poll, really, but of those of you who have a 2021 - 2023 F150 of any flavor what has been your reliability experience? I am assuming MOST people have 0 issues, but would be interested to hear how your reliability has been with your ownership.

Thank you.
2022 XLT PB Delivered 10-2022, 7 months after order. No problems yet, only 14K miles but some (approx 70 miles) of them rough/rocky 4WD miles. About 800 miles towing small loads 3400 lbs.

I am watching this to decide on purchasing a extended Ford warranty? I believe Ford's Supply Chain issue has just been transferred to the dealers repair shops, as I watch all kinds of threads about too long repair times due to zero part inventory.

I bought a used 2021 Platinum Powerboost at a Ford dealer with 17,500 miles, and I paid a premium for the pleasure.
First trip into the shop was within a month, for the widespread issue of the truck (dangerously) losing power at highway speed, then RPM varying wildly and gears slamming so hard I thought the driveshaft would break. Three State Class Action lawsuits describing exactly my experience later, Ford finally fixed a programming flaw, but almost TWO YEARS after the original delivery. By this time the truck had been in a dealer shop for 5 months of my first 14 months of ownership. Numerous failures like the electric brake booster (by mistake my invoice showed the dealer cost of $2200 and their retail price of the booster of $4200). Other issues were fixed under warranty, but some have never been fixed. Blue Cruise was inactive for 1.5 yrs from delivery, went dead last night with my total use/availability of just over a year. Poor BC performance overall, won't be extending that one.
Currently I'm still having intermittent but serious transmission overheating problems anytime a trailer, even a light U-Haul, is hooked on. After two serious overheats the trans cooler and regulating solenoid valve were replaced under the drivetrain warranty but I have experienced more overheating events since, once with only passengers onboard driving in the mountains. I will be renting a dump trailer, loading it to 12,700# and proving once and for all the issue isn't fixed. Ford is probably waiting for me to dump the truck and skate away on this one...won't work.
The truck is powerful but jerky on the throttle and only gets 19mpg. Decent ride but FX-4 shocks are junk and Bilsteins fixed that but had to work thru numerous shops refusing to put them on when they saw an orange 300V cable right at the front shock tower. Too many other nuisances to list, but the alarm going off in the night, apparently in conjunction with over-the-air updates, pisses off the neighbors.

My advice: Avoid Build 1 trucks.

To top it off I just learned the $3000, 3-year/150,000 mile extended Ford warranty will expire soon, as it evidently began at the original delivery date for the truck, in spite of assurances I would get 3 years coverage from the selling dealer. Considering the lost time in shop, it means they are screwing me out of half the coverage I bought. That fight begins tomorrow.
And then there was the offer by Ford Customer Care (SIC) to reimburse me for lost use of the truck and rental expenses while sitting at the dealer. Total came to about $6000.
Reimbursement so far: ZERO.
So, my personal experience is one of high frustration and personal inconvenience, loss-of-use and excessive costs of ownership. I have owned a dozen Ford pickups and one Toyota.
Guess what I will be buying next?

Ford, building a reliable truck is Job One. If that fails, Job Two is to quickly fix the flaws from Job One. At exactly two years of ownership, you haven't completed either.

I think I read somewhere, if you are in the first 3 years, then you should be able to extend ESP and just pay difference over what you already paid.

About to drive it across the country to the west coast of Canada and back - yes during winter. We will see if our opinion changes after almost doubling our mileage in a single trip.
Safe travels and let us know how your truck performs!

With that much shop time and actual overheating, which should NEVER happen, ford corp should be throwing you a ten year warranty at minimum and reimbursing rental costs. Hopefully those guys see this thread @fordmotorcompany

Took possession Feb 2023. Current mileage = 4K

Only issue was the truck wasn't connecting for any software updates, or even updating in the Ford Pass app (wouldn't show current location, update mileage, etc.). After trying all manner of other witchcraft, and even a visit to a dealer which messed with it for about 2 hours, only to tell me that I needed two new antennas, which would involve removing the brand new headliner, etc....thanks to advice on this forum, I finally just disconnected the battery for a bit, and all rebooted and worked as designed.

I won't be going back to that particular Ford dealer.

Purchased a brand new 2021 w/ 3.5 EB, June 2021 build date, July purchase date.

No major issues to speak of. Had a tail light replaced under 3 yr/36k mile warranty. Also had part of the air dam replaced because it was rattling.

I just turned over 40k miles last weekend. I often think about trading it on a PowerBoost, but I've decided to keep it for the long haul as it has no issues and I purchased the ESP when I purchased the truck.

Best of luck. Here's to many trouble free years?

Poor quality and reliability, 2022 PB. The trucks goes back to the dealer for various problems or recalls about every 6 weeks. Many issues are unresolved and I'm getting tired of dealing with Ford.

Consumer Reports lists the PB as the least reliable vehicle on the market. Based on my experience and feedback I've received from the service advisor and techs, I don't think Consumer Reports is wrong.

I have a love/hate relationship with my truck. I've never felt this way about a vehicle before. I have it listed on FBMP to see if I can get any bites on it.
