Funny, I was actually referring to you. I think Thundnblunder from the build week prior may also be in the race with us.
I truly don’t know what they expect; who wouldn’t be pissed at this stage.
I just corresponded with someone from the 02/28 build week that just had their Platinum delivered. Sounds like his truck was loaded, so I’m at a complete loss as to what‘s going on. Their may be some truth in it. If so, it’s pretty sad.

This is my VVR. All enthusiasm and excitement I had for this purchase has been deadened by getting the delivery date pushed out repeatedly. This truck was built on 1/26. It is not waiting on parts. It has been active in FordPass since January. The modules list is fully populated.

They just can't be bothered to ship it, and its sitting in a lot, rusting, with tires rotting, and the PowerBoost battery pack likely depleted below normal use ranges.

EDIT: The "Plant Hold" line is new for the current VVR, the previous VVR I got a couple weeks ago did not have that.

I think the most frustrating thing, besides not getting your truck is calling and talking to the Ford rep’s that are minions that can’t do a damn thing for you. Your at their mercy.
They can’t push your truck along but apparently they can delay it.

So my truck is still “pending update” I’m goin to try to corner the sales manager on Thursday after work and get him to call someone to find out what’s goin on

You can try to corner the sales manager, but I doubt he knows much more than anyone else. Most likely will also be a waste of time.

Here is the no BS update that Ford doesn't have the balls to give you. They have no idea when they can ship the truck. I wish they would just tell me that but instead they play games giving ETA's, don't meet them, then respond by assigning a new ETA that they also wont meet.

Your truck is sitting in a parking lot in Detroit. It's waiting on something, who knows what, but it really doesn't matter. It may ship one day, but no one, not even Ford knows when that day is. Their ETA's have proven useless as they just throw a day out, don't meet it, then just push it a month or two only to not meet that new ETA.

It's a joke at this point.

Like many of you here still waiting on your new truck, my ETA has been pushed out. It went from 5/25/22 to 6/15-6/21. Ford Marketing Program Headquarters (MPH) assured me as of 3/26 it has been built and awaiting shipment but reminded me several times they don't have control over trains and transportation is the problem.

Not that what I think matters to anyone in this situation, however, the problem solving part of my brain says if they had a process where special orders could be closed and ownership transferred so that dealers or customers could take delivery of their vehicles near the factory this could be a win/win/win for Ford, the dealer and the customer. Ford could get the truck off their inventory sheet and recognize revenue to improve their financial results. The dealer could increase their sales velocity and volume. Additionally, this would improve the customer experience, reduce frustration and improve brand loyalty (which is taking a major hit) for their special order customers. In fact, I'd would happily volunteer to be part of a pilot program to test this new process and provide constructive feedback on it.

Anyway, the party continues and I'll continue providing updates to the spreadsheet until the last one is delivered. By the way ... some of us still waiting on our trucks would LOVE to hear from those of you who have taken delivery. Please tell us your favorite thing about your new truck and remind us it was worth the wait.

Called Ford Canada last week and they told me that their system is showing July 14th, and they weren't certain whether or not that meant it was scheduled to get chips on that day or if that is the dealer ETA. Would be pretty convenient if it showed up that week as I have a fresh trailer, fresh drift car and an event that weekend and just missing a truck at this point.

Truck left the Dearborn plant May 6th via Rail to western Canada. Truck has now been unloaded from the train in Calgary AB and is awaiting car carrier to make it’s way to the BC west coast.. says they expect it by next week sometime ??

Truck left the Dearborn plant May 6th via Rail to western Canada. Truck has now been unloaded from the train in Calgary AB and is awaiting car carrier to make it’s way to the BC west coast.. says they expect it by next week sometime ??

Congrats. It's amazing the difference in service different dealers provide. Seems like yours has checked the VVR (Vehicle Visibility Report) given you up to date info. Yet other dealers will not take 2 steps to look at the VVR in order to give you up to date info.

dont get me wrong I still had to track him down and get him to do his job lol.. but fortunately he actually called the ramp in Calgary and tracked the VIN and sure enough it was there and unloaded

I'm in Alberta Edmonton but the unit will be delivered and picked in Canmore Alberta, the unit needs to be driven 1 hour out of Calgary.... which apparently takes 2 weeks
