So I normally don’t do reviews on products, but this one I kind of gotta give an honorable mention to, I installed the tow tune on my 22 F150 . 5.0 and I gotta tell you it completely changed the truck, this is something that Ford should do before they even leave the assembly line.
The interface was easy no longer have to go under the hood tune Upload took a few minutes and I reset the tranny learning functions from inside the tuner.
I drove it about 150 miles yesterday a mix of city ,country and freeway and I have to say, no more skip shift , no more finding a gear , smooth power all the way up and all the way down. Going down a big hill in traffic it used the engine /transmission to slow down instead of skipping around in gears……power is smooth, doesn’t hesitate shifts and you can barely feel them.
Cylinder Deactivation is off in the tune and immediately felt and heard the difference at cruising speed with the Livernois Exhaust my fiancé got me for my birthday.
I always run 93 in it and don’t have E85 access close but I’ll try that at a later date.
All and all , it was worth the money spent to get this done, never been a fan of the 10RE tranny till now.
Have the performance tune also , but doubtful I’ll install unless I get really curious.
Livernois was quick to get me the tunes and my questions were answered fast.
That is all I have guys , and questions just ask. FYI my fiancé just called me and said she immediately felt the difference in the truck as she is driving it right now. I normally don’t let anyone drive my truck but I have her Mercedes S550
