My vin is if anyone can look up anything meaningful from that.
Your truck is on Sync 23291, so you're not affected by that SSM. Fordpass is disconnected so I cannot see any codes it is reporting. OTA history shows many failed updates because the truck did not ping the server back to accept them. How long have you had this truck?

My recall for camera was satisfied via an OTA update. Anyone else?
What is your version of Sync in Settings > General > About SYNC please? I'm trying to find out which version satisfies the recall 🙂

That's the latest Sync. I'm still on 24127. Ford hasn't made that available to my truck yet.
My nice dealer did the BCM and also got me to 25094 🙂. So Javier, can we assume the recall is fixed by 25094 do you think?

This matters to me because I admin a Facebook group of predominantly Ford Australia imported trucks. They're on 23045 and I suspect the reason they can't get past the current stop sale here is because of the SSM 🤷‍♂️

Yes, if you are on Sync 25094, then for sure you have the recall addressed.

Is your truck imported from the US, or an Australia build? I have seen many vehicles in other markets outside the US get stuck on 23045 way before that SSM was released.

Mine was imported and converted separately from Ford Australia. They only bring in XLTs and Lariats which were delivered on version 23045. That validates what I've been telling them. To date, the Ford Australia trucks have never had any OTAs, even with working TCUs and Fordpass accounts.

The only recourse for those trucks to do updates is currently via FDRS and that's where they're stuck 👍

That explains why you're on a higher sync version. Yea, they are most likely region locked and stuck there unless FDRS shows more updates for them and they are willing to invest in the tools needed to do so.

Yep, I started on 22293 and updated myself to 23291 before the SSM hassles 🙂 A problem for the local dealers to solve 🤣

Took my 2022 F150 to the dealership 4 weeks ago for the rear view screen recall and it's still there! The tech says the apim won't accept the update and Ford won't approve a new apim, keeps sending them different updates and expecting a different result I guess. Anyone else have problems with this recall? Sad thing is I didn't have any problems with the rear view, truck was in to get something else fixed. Really liked my truck, want to get it back. They have no idea when it'll be, Ford engineering is in charge apparently.
Yes, I’m dealing with something similar!

I have a 2023 F-150 Platinum here in Brazil, and earlier this month Ford issued a recall for the multimedia system due to a potential rear-view camera freeze (which I hadn’t experienced myself).

After the recall service, the dealer said Ford requested a new multimedia software update. Once that update started, the system began triggering a chain of additional module updates — body control, brake control, and a few others. According to the dealer, Ford’s bulletins mention these can each take 6–7 hours and require a specific battery charge level.

My truck has now been at the dealership for three days just for this update process.

Thanks Mike, it'd be interesting to keep an eye on any glitches with that version, let us know if possible 🙂

As for the changes, if you've or someone you know has FORScan, the 75th anniversary (or maybe another you had) splash screen can be put back and most likely the hitch view as well 👍

Sharing my experience with this as well...

Took my truck in to get this recall done, it ended up being there 2.5 weeks. After the first day of updates, the steering wheel became stuck "turned" while the wheels were straight. Many days later with Ford engineering involved and more update attempts, they ended up replacing the entire steering wheel with a brand new one.

Luckily the dealer gave me a loaner, and were extremely communicative during the whole process with multiple updates daily. All is good a week later now.

Sync is now showing version 25094_PRODUCT revision 1779. Paperwork states APIM, ECG (GWM), TCU and IPC updated to latest version.

Excerpt from the paperwork regarding the steering fault:
AFTER PERFORMING FSA 25S49, STEERING ASSIST FAULT LIGHT IS ON, AND
STEERING WHEEL IS OFF TO THE LEFT.
ON DEMAND DTC SECM C1039:94: 0A.
PERFORMED SEC.
211-02 WORKSHOP MANUAL PIN-POINT TEST K.
K1- SECM C1039:94: 0A.
K2 - NO SASM DTCS.
K3- PASSES VISUAL INSPECTION.
K4- C1039:94 STILL PRESENT. REPLACED THE SECM. PERFORMED PMI.
CALIBRATED STEERING ANGLE SENSOR. CLEARED DCS, AND TEST DROVE VEHICLE TO VERIFY THE REPAIR

Part number for the replacement wheel - ML3Z*3600*FZ WHEEL ASY - STEERING

I see that Ford used to have someone on the forum that would ask you to send your vin and the dealer and try and help you. Are they still on here?
That was all for show. They never helped anybody. It was so that people like you would see it and think Ford has better customer service than they do.

So my 21' f150 (Canadian import) is in the group affected by the SSM (Ver 23031). I got the letter yesterday saying that the software update was available but clearly my truck isn't updating on its own. Luckily I've not had any issues w/ my backup camera, so really the only options is to take it into the dealer. But, is the dealer going to be able to service the recall, if it's not taking updates?
