That didn’t work either. Man I thought this shit was supposed to work fine after the initial update.. extremely frustrating. I guess I’ll go and buy a different flash drive tomorrow and try that. Don’t know what else to try.
It is supposed to work without issue now. Not sure what could be causing it.

Tried with a brand new 32gb flash drive and still won’t work. It just says detected and then indexing complete then nothing else. Is it possible that this update is what’s already in the system ?

I made 2 small changes on forscan also a couple weeks ago. Changed blinker count and the double honk disabled. Could that have anything to do with it?

No.

try unhooking the battery (or both if you have a Powerboost) for 30 minutes.

I'll try to see if I can get you that one file it's asking for.

Edit: just realized it may not be that simple. I'll need a bit to get back to you.

Really wish I could understand this crap more. And it’s unfortunate that neither dealership near me is competent enough either. I really thought everything would work properly as far as updates go after getting past the 21146 version. (I’m not having the list of problems that I had before as far as battery drain and stuff) but I would like for my truck to be at the version it’s supposed to be at!

Actually you do understand "this crap" better than 99% of the population that owns Gen14 F150's

And you will figure out this current APIM issue soon enough. Just stay diligent and keep a long fuse. 🤣

So the APIM update is still available in FDRS? And you can create a fresh USB of the update, confirming all necessary files are on the stick?

If so, I wonder if you can just drive around with it in the truck until it eventually kicks off, similar to the infamous 21xxxx update?

Just spitballing.

Ive got the usb plugged in still after my 8th or so attempt at the update..

im notnsure how to confirm that all of the necessary files are being downloaded onto the drive.

Im wondering if the update that it is showing in fdrs is actually the update that has already been installed onto my sync system. I dont know how to check.

Its currently running 22087

I’m more frustrated that it’s showing an update, I paid $50 for license and the update won’t work. I’m still so far behind and thought the hard part was over.

im suspicious that this code has something to do with it “invalid data from apim”
