Sync update 25.2.1.6.5 started installing while driving

Just what the subject line says - the latest SYNC update started while I was driving. A message appeared saying SYNC update in progress, some features may be unavailable. Then the audio started cutting in and out.

<rant> Why do we even have the update schedule if this is what they are going to do? What was so urgent that this update had to happen right then? Ironically the release notes are "to ensure a smoother update process." I've got updates scheduled to go at 10 AM any day...</rant>

APIM, GWM and TCU updates will and always have installed while driving. Even if they are done with FDRS by the dealer or the owner, the truck is running while these install.

APIM, GWM and TCU updates will and always have installed while driving. Even if they are done with FDRS by the dealer or the owner, the truck is running while these install.

My 2024 Tremor does up Date's at 1:00 am when I'm Sleeping that's what I have it set For !!

Yes, all Ford vehicles do. Except for the 3 modules I mentioned above.

I don't drive my truck a lot, the other day it said something about a radio update is scheduled for 1 am , not very good at electronics, I got stuff on this truck, I don't even use! Bummer

I haven't had an update in ages, I'm beginning to think that those of us with 21's are being left behind.

100% the reason I had a bunch of back and forth with rugedraw before I manually did the updates myself... SO worth it.

I would, but I need to buy a laptop with Windows because FDRS won't run on A MacBook and im simply not investing in one. I agree, the updates would be nice to have.

Yes, there is boot camp utility on MacBooks that still have Intel based chips, but Bootcamp will not work with Mac silicon, which are the M series processors. Thank you for the thoughts.
