The Continental A/T don’t come in my size apparently
apparently whomever you were searching them through does not have that size available. They must sell very few sets of them so they don’t want to stock them.

It was Continentals’ website. Are they LT tires or SL+ like the Defenders and Dynapro?
Perhaps I was redirected to a supplier and wasn’t paying close attention. ??‍♂

Our 2024 F150 King Ranch came with the Pirelli Scorpion ATR 275/60R20 tires. I kinda like the looks of the tires, it's just that the reviews, (IMO), aren't that good. Am replacing them on the first of next month with the Michelin Defenders. (My dealership is actually going to buy my Pirelli tires from me), My other 3 trucks all have Defenders on them, and have been well pleased with them.

Very seldom do any of our trucks go off road, so the AT tires are of little interest to me.

Add Firestone Destination A/T2 to the list. They did very well in the Tire Rack testing, so I bought a set and they've been flawless. Very quiet on the highway and good grip under all conditions.
What you say is true but, having owned two sets of Firestone tires now I will tell you the quality of the Firestone tire is poor. The first set I had, I had to take the truck back 3 times to get them balanced so the truck didn’t shake at 75 mph and it was never 100% right. I drove on those tires for over 70k miles. I purchased a second set and same problem, couldn’t get the tires to balance. Went back three times to that shop and they told me I had bent rims so I brought it to another shop for a second opinion and they said the rims were also slightly bent. I brought it to yet another shop and they too couldn’t balance them either so they replaced the rims but I still had a vibration at 75 mph although it was better. The technician told me he thought the tires had excessive run out because he could see them wobbling on the tire balancer and told me he didn’t think Firestone quality was good so I brought the truck back to the original shop and asked them to give me a different brand tire because I was fed up with those tires and just wanted things to work normally. They agreed and removed the Firestone tires and installed Michelin LTX tires instead but charged me an additional $58 ea + mounting & balancing so an additional $300 ??. Let me tell you though the Michelin tires were the right tire because right after installation, all the vibration was gone. They are super smooth, quiet, and ride so nice. I also noticed that the truck felt like it had more initial pep off the line but not sure why other than a weight difference. Moral of this story is you get what you pay for so stay away from Firestone tires. I believe some Bridgestone and Firestone tires are made in the same plant too.

I’ve always thought that when I see ‘tagged’.
Is it necessary to state that you’ve tagged a thread?

Bridgestone and Firestone are made by the same company, but Bridgestone is the premium brand and Firestone is more budget-friendly. Kind of like the relationship between General and Continental, through in my experience General tires outperform their price point.

That sounds like a horrible experience. But based on the 2.7 million miles reported and 200+ reviews on Tire Rack, you were unlucky. Most of us have a good experience. Personally, I never shopped for the Michelin LTX because I wanted better off road grip, but it seems the clear winner for mostly street driving.

Honestly it seems like there isn't a *great* A/T tire for the F-150s right now. We need something like the Falken Wildpeak AT/3 (*not* AT/4 after they ruined them). Toyos are ok, but have crappy sidewall protection, same with my Firestones, but at least they're light and don't kill my mpgs. I've heard good things about the Nokian Outpost nAT, made right here in TN. I might try those next.

So much this. Im at 31k on the Dynapro's. My head knows the Defenders are the correct choice, my heart wants an AT for the look...and that AT tread would be super handy the 1 time a year I drive through a grass field....

The Conti TerrainContact A/T look great and get awesome reviews.....buying defenders at costco is cheaper, actually a ton cheaper when you add in that costco includes road hazard, and my truck leaves pavement once a year...

We will see if the heart or logic wins...
You are right. Michelins from Costco are cheaper than getting them or Conti HTs from Discount tire because Costco don't charge installation costs/warranty etc.

Yup, I will most likely go the costco route. I think I can squeeze a few more miles out of the OEM tires. Looks like Defenders are on sale through 5/13. If they follow the normal cadence Bridgestone is next and Defenders will come back on sale around late June / Early July. We will see if I buy prior to the 13th or roll the dice and wait for June.

Thank you guys for all the recommendations and sharing your experiences!
I will probably go with Michellin defender LTX MS2s from Costco since it is a better deal.
One more tire I have my eyes on is the Cooper discoverer Road+ Trail AT. Tirerack.com has very good test ratings on them. They look great as well - beefier side walls. Does anybody has these on F150 and please share you experiences? I am interested to know the MPG decrease (by how much) and the ride comfort compared to Michellins. Thanks!

I currently have stock Hankook Dynapros on 20" stock rims. They are almost worn put on the outer side of the all tires. So seraching on Costco I found three choices that i could put on : Michelin Defender LTX MS2 , BFG Trail Terrain T/A , Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent.

Which of these do you recommend? I driving is mostly city (15-25 miles daily), highway (100-200 miles once a month) and dirt road (10-20 miles once a month). PLease advice! I like how the stock hankook dynapros ride, Mileage is decent as well.
I have installed Michelin Defender Best decision I have ever Made, My truck is handling better than my wife Lincoln MKX

The new general grabber HT is supposed to be great and reasonably priced.
If you’d like to drive without annoying your neighbors with the noise from your tires (and maintain the radio volume at a civilized level,) your sole choice is the Defender LTX.

Quiet, long-lasting and rounder than either of your other choices, the Defender LTX also provides the greatest safety margins with its superior wet-weather and snow capabilities.

I’m delighted with the 295/70R18’s I’m running on OEM rims. I’m completely gum-dipped with this tire!
