You and me both, I would have preferred the 3.55 to get 25 or 26 mpg on the highway, and would have been fine with the small hit in tow rating, but they decided we don't get to vote. Maybe the Ford product planners are democrats...oops, too soon?
Never too soon for that! (y)

And I was unrealistically hopeful that politics and/or religion wouldn't pollute this forum, like it has other related forums. Oh well, humans will be humans. ?‍♂?
You right! I apologize ?

Me too, I started it, but it was a pretty light hearted jab. I apologize if I offended anyone.
I appreciate the unnecessary apologies from both you and Bob. I honestly wasn't offended or looking for an apology..... just hoping we can all appreciate our common excitement for the Gen14 F150 without any negativity.

It's really not my job to moderate this community, so I should also apologize for my unintentionally causing you guys to feel guilty due to my poorly worded comments.

I sincerely hope this forum continues to be a friendly, informative resource, regardless of where we come from.

Good job guys. That was stand up by all of you.

And now to science and engineering: I wonder if the Powerboost will have the same torque as the Spacex launch tonight? Tried to see it from Tampa, but too many clouds.

Man - i love science and engineering.
And I love that American made technology is back in space.

You right, and I'm glad you did what you did. I've been on such forums and the BS and hate seems to run it down.

I don't want that to happen here also. We need good folks like yourself and what appears 900 more such folks.

This is the best forum, I actually kind of hope it doesn't grow too big for you know what will happen then. Lol

Now back to the waiting game.

Oh, yeah, I heard that today. So I guess it went OK, when I saw it on tv they were just getting ready.

Yeah, me too!

I'm looking at replacing my 2018 limited with a 2021 Hybrid Limited and am wondering if anyone has any input/knowledge on what to expect for range when towing? I understand Ford is marketing a range of "at least 700 miles" for the Hybrid, which is greater than the advertised range for my 2018 but I wonder if that increased range will be similar when towing as I would suspect the Hybrid's impact is less noticeable with a 6500lb trailer behind it. With the fuel tank on the hybrid being 15% smaller than on the current limited (30.6 vs 36 gallons) , my concern would be that the range I'll get towing my travel trailer may be less than I'm getting now or do you think the Hybrid will still aid in range even under heavy load?

Some math:

The current non hybrid F150 limited is EPA rated at 19mpg combined, with my travel trailer I get about 9.8mpg average, so out of a 36 gallon tank I can theoretically get 352.8 miles of range. If the new Hybrid limited gets 700 miles on it’s 30.6 gallon tank, that would be a rating of 22.9mpg. To get the same 352.8 miles of range with the Hybrid’s smaller tank, I would need to get 11.5mpg when towing.
I plan on carrying 1 or 2 five gallon gas cans in the bed, in case I am in a no gas area out west towing my 34 ft coachman apex ultra lite. 7400 pounds. And, going easy on the peddle on my 2021 powerboost. 300 miles a day driving towing is enough work at 70 yrs old with at least 1 potty stop for the enlarged prostat. LOL sorry for the over sharing.

Love the PB (I have one)- but I think you'll be very lucky to average close to 10 mpg towing a 7400 lb. RV. Between the weight and drag it's probably closer to 7-9 mpg.

Wind makes all the difference with my 7500ish pound airstream. 11.8mpg over 12,000 miles, but never over 65mph. The last trip I did I was doing 55mph into a 40mph+ wind and saw 7mpg. Luckily the wind was only for the last 10 miles of the trip…setup was “fun”.

I count on filling up every 250-300 miles.

We're towing a 27' 6500lb loaded/scaled TT at ~65mph in tow haul mode while locking out 8.9.10 to prevent boost with 91/93 octane and averaging 7-9mpg. We stop every ~2 hours for fuel, stretch, and needed breaks. We have carried a 5gal gas can, but haven't used it since we're in the Southeast and preplan routes & stops.

Pre planning is a must out west. There were several stops that were well ahead of the 200 mile limit I set but better that, than running out. I carried 2, 2.5 gal. but never had to use them but once, the low fuel warning came on and it did get a bit puckery then.

I think if we ever take the TT past the Mississippi, we'd probably bring two 5gal cans.

We have a similar size/fully loaded weight trailer and drive around same speed, last time I checked did 412 km round trip, so around 256 miles before empty, with first 30 minutes in heavy stop and go traffic leaving the city and using the propower on board for a bit on site, we have a 2022 PB
