Jack up the MSRP to account for the increase due to tarrifs, then have a blanket 'employee pricing' policy (that is really the original MSRP) so Ford can have it's cake and eat it too, right?
Ford would have to issue a new price sheet, which they have not done. MSRP remains the same for 2025 for now. I have no doubt it will go up. I assume this is about the fact that Ford has a current heavy inventory BEFORE the tariffs start to affect things. This is mostly about helping the dealers out and reduce their inventories before Ford is forced to raise prices to counter the effect of the tariff. Then the inventories will grow again. Sales should be strong for the next two months. I imagine any available 2024s will have deep discounts when you add the employee pricing to the discount for being 2024s.

Going to be interesting. The remaining XL trucks like mine in my North Carolina Charlotte area, are now increased by $2,000 today.

And all of the STXs in one of the seaches that I had still on my Autotrader app, are all higher than they were yesterday. I'm going to be curious the kind of pricing people actually get lol. To the point of a couple of posters, I think some of us negotiated better deals prior to most of this.

Dealerships run their own websites and they don't (can't) update all that info on a dime. Some are better than others. Lots of people are saying that the online price went up. They are right. The dealerships are taking down the Truck Month incentives that ended on the 1st. Most havent and some won't put the employee pricing numbers because it isn't just as simple as a $1,500 incentive to show. Some may just list the MSRP and say call or email for the employee pricing. Some will get it uploaded. You just need to reach out and have them send you the price. Many will be surprised by the answer. Some shady dealerships will still try and bilk people.

The simple truth is that most really savvy buyers can get close to employee pricing if they shop the right dealer and are willing to travel. Employee pricing benefits about 95% of the public that typically way overpays.

I thought Granger was 4% below invoice.. not 3%. With all the BS 'fees' many charge what really matters is the out the door price.

Agreed. And that's really my point. The people that are overpaying most of the time versus those of us who negotiate a deal, they're probably going to see that and be scratching their heads.

oh yeah, there will be plenty of FL dealers that tack on their $895 state allowed dealer fee on top of the employee pricing and then they'll still try to force on customers fabric spray and other junk products and fees. This offer from Ford doesn't change that there will always be buyers who make decisions based on logic, while most of the public base theirs on emotion and will lose every time they step in a dealer showroom.

Where are you reading this?
I am seeing "Place a new retail order ..... by 6/2/25".
May be worth it to cancel and re-order, depending on the price. Every situation is different.

Yup
Never be in a hurry...ever.
Research area your willing to drive.

keep 3 dangling for the sale...play coy..
Best part is be pre approved or cash
That tends to drive sales managers into a tizzy trying to get you
Free coffee, donuts, 5k off
Lunch,
My last 5 have been wins for us.
Amicable I guess for both parties
ESP quotes also give some leverage
Last 3 my dealer/s matched or neat the zeigler quotes.
I don't like the fine print in the new scheme
In 05 it was everything. Nothing was off the table.
But it destroyed used prices
Thrn the covid aftermath murdered used prices.

May not work for this situation. If these tariffs hold you want a "pre-tariff" F-150. The F-150 contains many parts sourced from countries other than the US. Ford and all other manufacturers are going to scramble to source US parts. This will likely result in the same supply chain situation we saw during the COVID pandemic. During the pandemic parts shortages resulted in sourcing parts from suppliers that introduced all sorts of quality control problems. Any of us who bought a truck during the pandemic understand the problem.

If you plan to get a F150 in the next year or so, and the tariffs remain in place, you want a truck made before Ford runs out of parts that do not carry a tariff. That should be sometime in June or July.

Ford Motor Company will offer employee pricing to all US shoppers: 'Handshake deal with every American'

The vehicle manufacturer called the new initiative a 'handshake deal with every American'

April 3, 2025

U.S. shoppers will be able to save on Ford vehicles this spring through a new initiative called From America, For America.

American consumers will have access to Ford's employee pricing from April 3 through June 2.

This means customers will pay the same amount as Ford's workers, which is below the dealer invoice price, a spokesperson for the automobile manufacturer told Fox News Digital in an email.

"We have the retail inventory to do this and a lot of choice for customers that need a vehicle," Ford Motor Company said in a statement.

During this period, shoppers will be able to save on 2024 and 2025 hybrid, plug-in hybrid, diesel and gas-powered Ford and Lincoln vehicles. The deal excludes the 2025 Expedition and Navigator SUVs, the Raptors and Super Duty trucks.

Electric vehicle shoppers through Ford's Power Promise will also receive a complimentary home charger and standard installation through June 30, according to the announcement.

Ford cited "uncertain times" and the "complexities of a changing economy" as reasons for the campaign's launch.

"For 121 years, we've put our money where our mouth is, assembling vehicles that Americans rely on and supporting American jobs," Ford said in a statement. "Today, we’re proud to announce a new U.S. initiative that's more than just a promotion. It's a handshake deal with every American."
Way to go Ford ! Your doing the right thing !

Well, prices went up overnight... I was looking at this truck and it as 44k 2 days ago and now 48. Ford did the employee pricing but took off all the other incentives that were on until 4-1.

For 2025 models, I don't think there were any incentives, so special order people could see crazy low prices, locally. I emailed one local dealer with my configuration, and I got a prompt response with an employee price at 3.7% below invoice. No haggling, no forth and back, just a straight price quote.

Yes, the truck month incentives ended on 4/1. That happens every year. Nothing nefarious from Ford about that. Last year, I was watching this closely and the deals went up and stayed up until another, different round of incentives rolled in over the summer. At least now the employee pricing is here and the ultimate cost will probably be better than truck month deals (but not by that much).
