Does anybody know if the "cross traffic disabled while trailer attached warning" can be turned off? Every time I start the truck this warning always comes on when a trailer is attached. Gets annoying having to press OK every single time. Please see attached picture. I've asked this question on a Facebook page and got nothing. I've tried searching and still nothing. Can it be changed using Forscan? I don't want to permanently disable cross traffic alert, just want the warning to go away.

Thanks for any help.

Did you ever figure anything out? I'm in the same boat. Gets old quick.

Another request for a solution here - I had to dismiss the warning 5 times just to move my boat from the driveway to the backyard... It is Ford's equivalent to "The boy who cried wolf..."

I'd love to find an answer to this as well. I haven't researched Forscan yet, but I'm hoping that might be a possibility. I've got to think this is a liability thing where they have to show the warnings when backing up with a trailer. That's the only reasonable conclusion I can come to. I think most of us with a boat trailer - or any other decent sized trailer for that matter - understand that backing up with it attached is going to impede the rear sensors from doing their normal job. Five pages of warnings accompanied by beeps and alarms, every single time you put it in reverse, gets a little old. An intelligent setting would be if a trailer is attached, don't sound the alarm. Or, at least let me set the option that I don't want the warning when a trailer is attached because I can comprehend physics and why the system wouldn't work. Anyway, ranting. Sorry.

I did find this link: One-time disable

Probably the best option (that link above), though it's an extra step each time you start the truck with a trailer, but it's better than nothing. Also, while searching a bit, sounds like Forscan isn't an option - others have asked the same question we have and reported back, at the time, nothing was found in Forscan to make a change.

Once trailer is saved and set up it’s not a problem. Just pick the correct trailer if you have several saved. I have no issues backing my TT it’s saved pick it and go. Then BLISS works also for length of trailer added

For whatever reason, BLISS on my truck sometimes works when the trailer is attached, and sometimes doesn't. But bottom line, I really don't use it when the trailer is attached and it's active. I don't trust it with the trailer back there.

I don’t trust it at all. Old school turn head check mirrors.

That's a good point. I mis-read the OP's original post and was thinking when they put it in reverse. That's when it annoys me. I do have a trailer defined, and now that you mention it, I don't get the initial screen that they do when first starting with it connected. But, I definitely get the messages when backing up, regardless of the trailer defined and selected/active or not. That's the part I'd like to change. For the BLISS on the highway, I'm fine with it there - maybe more indifferent, I guess.

Should get a trailer detected alert and then pick trailer. Then backing up no problem. It bypasses backup breaking. Never had an issue backing up with trailer once selected.

Sounds like a liability thing with Ford not wanting to be sued. Similar to McDonalds saying "Caution. Coffee is hot." One person out of the millions of owners probably backed their trailer into something and tried to blame Ford saying "but it didn't beep at me" ?

All the dash warnings and ding ding ding chimes are horrible . When ever im driving in rain or snow storm I get a BEEP BEEP, and dash flashing a warning the crash protection has been disabled please clean the sensors! I keep hitting the OK button and I stop on the highway and clean them every couple minutes! Just wana be safe!

Clang, clang, clang went the trolley
Ding, ding, ding went the bell
Zing, zing, zing went my heartstrings
From the moment I saw him I fell
Chug, chug, chug went the motor
Bump, bump, bump went the brake
Thump, thump, thump went my heartstrings
When he smiled I could feel the car shake

Read your owners manual, you can turn it off in settings. I believe it’s under driver assistance.

Hah! It's actually the opposite for us. My F150 is way more chill on the safety warnings and interventions than my wife's Subaru Outback. Great car but such a nanny when it comes to the safety systems. The way the drivers are here I get the automatic braking kick in at least once every time I drive it whereas my truck hasn't activated any of the emergency systems once so I actually don't even know what they look like when they come on.
