2023 PB 501a 4x4 short bed 7.2KW. PL=1658lbs.
Other than some early electrical gremlins, fully and still, completely cured, by doing this,

My truck has and continues to,

Saw a review vid from Ben Hardy yesterday, where he was blah, blahing about the PB, saying its a 2K option, didn't know if it was worth it etc.

That 2K option also, automatically gets you 4WD, a heavier axle and springs and PPOB. Toss in another $700 or so and it ups the PPOB to 7.2KW. You cannot buy as big a generator, that will run as quietly, or efficiently as that, for anything like that money and you don't have to lug this one around, or service it.

WTF?

Yeah, I remember when 4WD was a ~2K option all by itself.

If your PB isn't giving you constant problems then I wouldn't jinx it, brother. When it works its fantastic, but getting to this point has been a struggle for many of us.

Agreed- got mine used with 15k miles - great deal- had some gremlins to conquer in the first couple of months but since then been flawless. Gets great mileage puttering around town (but not so great in cold weather) and can rip a 600+ mile road trip effortlessly on one tank of gas. Still working on getting transfer switch installed for house back up power. Great truck but can be finicky with all those modules having to work together...

Had nothing but major issues with my MY22. Besides the high number of recalls, the dealer had it 6 months of the 33 months I owned it. All of the hybrid system had to be replaced except the electric motors and the high voltage battery. But all of the connectors, cables, and converter had to be replaced. I also had to have the alternator/power system replaced. Only had 43,000 miles. Unfortunately, I lost all confidence in that particular truck. Once it was repaired, I sold it. EV repairs alone for over $10,000. Ford only covered 70%.

How many of the recalls were PB specific?

I don’t remember, I don’t know that any recalls were PB specific. The recalls weren’t so much the issue, except I have never had a Fird that had that many recalls in such a short time. I think it was 10.

I thought all the hybrid parts had a 10 year/100k warranty

Yeah, you think that….but it is only the battery and motor apparently. The rest are regular 3 year/36,000. They don’t consider the cables and converter part of drive train even though vehicle won’t move without them.

I don't own one
But I have friends that do...and it's an awesome machine that is under sold by ford.. it's a freaking powerhouse
If they apply the tech to a superduty
Hold on...it's going to change that market.
Imo ford failed miserably to promote it's capability...I would have got one vice the last f150
Just like they dropped the ball on the tow monster excursion
