5% all the way around with the entire windshield at 20% looks great! No cheap tint!

50% on the windshield is the only suggestion I'd make for limiting headlight glare, 20% on the fronts is the sweet spot.
We travel to VA a lot up and down I-95 from FL. I could get away with spray painting the windshield Krylon gloss black if I never left FL, but need to be careful with the highway pirates in VA and the Carolinas.

I sell/install tint and the % level is secondary, mostly used for privacy and your vehicle comes standard with 20% on the rears. You want a hi performance film like Ceramic that will block 80-90% of the solar heat and comes in any % from 70 to 5.
This, and that IR Ceramic works wonders !!!

How well can you see out at night? I’m not sure if I want to go that dark on the front
i also have 50% ceramic on the windshield, and with halogen headlights it's not something i'd advise if you don't' have fantastic vision. but i'm in a peasant XL truck. 5% ceramic on the other glass via new tint/combo over the factory glass is amazing. privacy for nose picking and no heat transfer.

No issues at all driving at night. The pic I posted was at an angle and it was cloudy that day, so it appears darker than it really is. I'll try to post a direct side pic when it is sunny out.

Thanks for the pictures. I don’t think I’m going to tint the whole windshield. Just do the top but I like how yours looks.

Just go to a tiny shop and talk to them. They can show you it all

Yea I could do that and possibly get hassled by a salesperson or I could ask the people here about what they have and then get a couple quotes from some different places and then pick one.

If they are going to harass you then leave. Tint is a personal choice. I went all dark but depending on your state and cops and your choice it’s worth talking to someone and seeing first hand.

So you have 70% on the back window and doors?
From looking at the post you attached, your rear windows are darker than the fronts?
How much darker the rear appears will depend on the amount and direction of the sun along with which direction you're looking at the vehicle. In these two pics, they look pretty close to matching front to rear with completely different light angles and views. These two pics below were taken in October and June. The ones in my post above were December when the sun is lower in the sky. And yes, 20% on two front doors. 70% on windshield, back doors, and rear glass.

Speaking of dawgs, pulled into the dealer the other day and one of sales guys comes out "oh man, dawgs edition, truck looks great" I kept it to one word answers like thanks, yeah, must have heard go dawgs 5 times. Time to get rid of the red tow hooks and finally tear off the red Fx4 sticker. Had some amazing weekends at UGA tailgates but getting my truck mistaken for being a UGA edition is just a bit too much :ROFLMAO:
