Too pricy for me, so I'll just stick to the tried and true Trunk Monkey

To be clear, the F150 is rated for much smaller rounds. To take a 50cal you need significantly more armor. That's likely a 350 chassis with not much payload to spare.

Fine. Ruin all my dreams. ??
You can do some up-armoring yourself with door inserts. There's just a big gap between say pistol rounds vs steel core rifle/sbr ammo. The XM7 rifle the army is currently playing with will punch through most of the soviet bloc APCs. I have mags that stagger armor piercing and varmint rounds one after the other for handling varied threats from vehicles, body armor, to animals of various size.

Pistol rounds can be stopped with a couple mm of hardened stainless ala cybertruck skin. It's becoming more common to see AR "pistols" in the hands of street thugs and that's just a different league of round with just the typical jacketed lead round. The glass side of things gets complicated. Surprised to see them retaining the ability to roll a window down. That glass is heavier than the regular door plus you have to create a gap for it where armor would typically reside. The windshield alone is 300lbs.

It's not uncommon for 'police' packages to include ballistic panels in the front doors so there's likely more than one readily available product if ya really want it.

I would think armor would add a lot of weight so I'm guessing that Lightning can go maybe 50 miles before needing charging? ?

I read through the site and the armored PowerBoost still beat a Hemi powered Ram 0-60!

After seeing the report on the reliability of the PowerBoost, I think that armor could come in handy while stranded, unable to flee your ‘attacker’.?

I love how they talk about the "fuel efficient" turbo 6....in a 20 ton vehicle (kidding!). That's like bragging about an EV in a Brinks armored truck...."Go 6 blocks between charges!". You want protection, or better MPG?
