Can someone have another big FDRS problem please? I don't want to wait too long for the 900th anniversary page ?

Kidding of course - the 898 pages of people helping people is truly amazing ?

If you're bored, maybe you can help @malfaour with another issue. Jesse and I got him fully updated, but he has a Canada based truck in the US that keeps defaulting back to Canada settings. I think I remember you having some experience with this.

I just realized the country code for his truck is still the Canadian code, but his truck seems to be talking to the cloud just fine so not sure if I should recommend he change it to the US one or not.

Does your Fordpass app work?
Yes never had any issues with it. Only time I see it an issue is when I do any forscan or like when we did the bcm update, it reverts everything back to kilometers and kpg. So I have to go into the cluster and change everything and go into the radio settings and choose miles. I’m hoping that if I receive updates down the road thru power up, I don’t want it to either cause problems or have to sit there and change settings. It’s not a big deal, just if it’s possible, I want to change it lol

Never bored, always willing to help , let's do it ?

@malfaour Moe, I'm going to ask you for a bunch of your settings in FORScan. What do you have at the asterisks for:
TCU: 754-10-01 **** --
IPMA: 706-04-01 **** **** **--
APIM: 7D0-03-01 **** xxxx xx--

Also, in non-asbuilt (easy) mode, in the filter box at the top search both your APIM and IPC settings for "default". One or both modules will have defaults for imperial / metric and °F / °C. Obviously change to imperial but your choice for temperature units.

TCU country code at 754-10-01 is for sure not the US code.

Which, if we leave as is, should be fine if fordpass functions work; we can try changing later if they stop working? ?

Canadian truck in US here.
Every software update speedometer will reset to KPH. The other stuff that resets happens to every truck with losing "my view" settings and gauge options. You can change country code to US and that will save having to reset the speedometer but everything else you'll need to fix after updates.

It should not be losing your settings for gallons etc set on sync screen. It is possible if your truck is still new to you that the cloud asbuilt data is not updated to reflect that change. I've never had to mess with the settings that are set on sync screen after initially changing them.

I haven't changed anything except settings in the radio to show us measurements. This is all what forscan is telling me

Not sure. I always have instead of miles, I have Kilometers in the cluster for odometer. Temperature changes to celcius. DTE is kilo. Tire pressure goes from psi to canadian. Speedo is in kph, have to check the box in the cluster for mph

while I look at some of your settings (you're country code CA everywhere which we won't change yet) please do that search again in easy mode, both modules for "display" and "unit" somewhere there is the ability in easy mode to default to imperial measurement units, I thought "default" would get it, but I got the word wrong, obviously ?

Okay digging up an old thread since you have an XLT. Here is a thread by someone who also had an XLT and they could never get it to stop resetting. ?
