Side cameras on with turn signal

I installed this light bar today. It plugs directly into the 4 pin outlet by the license plate, no adapter needed. It's much less intrusive than a bulky adapter and tricks the truck into thinking a trailer is attached. I don't really have a need for the lights so I've just zip tied them underneath the bumper for now.

Any chance you have tried if lane centering works? It seems the trucks lost that function in 23s with lights plugged in, though, I read of one 24 owner that does have LC while pulling his TT

I haven't tried it yet but I'll check.

That's due to the tow tech package that supports yaw sensor, TPMS, and trailer camera occupying the 12 pin connector slot. That can be swapped out for the 7 pin / 4 pin assembly if you want it instead.

I should do that, since that other connector is useless for me.

I checked today and yes, lane centering is still active.

Rats! First attempt is a failure. I get the Left Turn Signal Fault with the 4 pin Curt bike rack lights from the earlier post. I have a 4 pin tester coming so I will see if it is the trucks 4 pin connector that is the issue, but I doubt it.

Did the large update tonight on FDRS, over 3 hours! Ugh! But.. a couple forscan changes and I have side view cameras while towing on my 22’ ???

Today I got on forscan and put the values in for the side view cameras. I have a 2022 tremor. I think it worked as now when I'm in reverse I have a trailer button which gives me the side view cameras. I don't remember seeing that option before in reverse. I still need to hook the boat up and use the turn signals to see if comes up that way as well.

That option was there since 2021.
You want the view at speed going forward which can only be achieved with current IPMA software. That can only be installed with FDRS.

Now just think about how that view could have been enabled at speed from beginning but Ford was holding it to make it a feature later on. ?

Thanks. Yesterday was the first time I hooked up forscan to the truck. I went in to change the values for the view cameras at speed but it was already enabled. Had same values as the livinitup chart. My IMPA software was updated in May of 24. So I'm not sure if that's the updated version. If not I guess I'll try and side load it. Don't have any experience on what I need to do. I'm sure there are YTube videos. I have a 22 tremor. Yea ford makes it difficult for this feature.

I think Tremor is like the Raptor and excluded from latest updates but I could be wrong.
I appreciate most the improvements to adaptive cruise lane centering in the updated IPMA software. The extra camera views are just a bonus for me. I'm sure at some point Ford will update the software for your truck to be available in FDRS. Not sure how side loading would work with the different models.

curious, fdrs shows my ipma has the latest update, but my camera on turn signal button is greyed out. not sure if this is a forscan thing or not

Covered that in the other thread regarding updating your IPMA. If I still had the files I'd give them to you but did a clean FDRS install several months back.

yeah thats what I figured, weird how the tremor was left out for this update
