Appreciate all the info and feedback folks here provided on their trucks. But, it’s time to move away from the Tremor and pick another vehicle.
Thanks to all!

The why is because I’ve never owned a vehicle that’s taken a 20k depreciation hit in less than two years. The mileage is horrible and we aren’t using it for its intended purpose and I no longer have anything to tow. Expensive to insure and the registration here in Calif is bullshit expensive. Why and to what?
Ya know I wish I could say I hate truck or it’s a pile of crap or bitch about some recurring failure but I love the truck. But its value continues to plummet while everything else keeps getting more expensive. I was lucky that I shopped around and bought for the MSRP, however, even that was too muchVery very understandable. That's what happens when they over price these trucks. I feel especially bad for those who bought them during Covid when dealerships were putting $10-$15k markups on them...and I walked away from many.....many dealers (non Ford included) who did this. Unless those owners paid them off immediately, the negative equity on those would be brutal. I am fortunate that registration here is pretty cheap and insurance not too crazy. My 2014 Mustang GT still has a higher premium than my 22 Lariat.
I explained that in a previous response. If you’d like to support me and my family and pay my bills, I’ll gladly keep it. I been around the block a few times. I know what I’m doingSelling two years after buying new and realizing the $20K hit is probably the worst financial move you could make. Why not just enjoy the truck for a few more years. The worst of your depreciation has passed.
You’ve already taken that hit, selling now you won’t recover that money. Buying a new car again you’ll take a depreciation hit as you drive it off the lot.The why is because I’ve never owned a vehicle that’s taken a 20k depreciation hit in less than two years. As far as the what. I have no clue. Maybe a Nissan Pathfinder or the new Mazda Cx70. Looking around and trying to research different options but it’s tough.
Had it in the sand at the dunes and it did fine. Unfortunately the fire roads and trails around and near where we off-road are too narrow and will thrash the sides and I really don’t feel like dealing with those issues. I do my own ceramic coatings and although I have the tools and experience to fix scratches, I choose to take care of my stuff better. And I spent two weeks applying and paint correcting the truck before I ceramic coated it so wasn’t in a hurry to damage it. Plus I’m a lone wolf and have nobody to off-road with anymore. Truck needed to go and it’s already sold. Need something smaller and more economical. 180 bucks to fill it up is getting old and there are some transmission concerns that although aren’t a major issue now, they certainly may be in the future. You’ve already taken that hit, selling now you won’t recover that money. I say that as a first time truck owner in the Bay Area in CA who bought an F-150 Platinum in 2022. But I bought from Granger and saved $9K over the best price I could find locally.
Have you driven any national forest roads yet? I was in Stanislaus last week and while my FX4 did great, a Tremor would have been delightful.
It’s already sold brother. Guy just completed financing and I got 13k over the current wholesale book. Still took a 10k hit but I don’t care. We will have one car for awhile and I’ll get into something else while I can still control the hemorrhaging from the previous deal.Unfortunate decision, but understandable. If you don't mind me asking, how many miles on the truck and how much are you looking to sell it for? I've been losing interest in the '24 XL that I ordered in Jan. and I'm starting to look around. I'm also in SoCal in the Fontana area. I can DM you my number if you're interested in selling, maybe we can work something out.
I’m just glad I didn’t pay the 12k over that the dealer in LA demanded and was able to buy at MSRP. Which that ain’t so great either but it is what it isEvery new vehicle is going to depreciate. Don't buy a car or truck hoping to make money. I mean unless it is a classic.Mazda's are nice.
