Installed the Borla S-Type Catback (Mid Section) Straight forward install, it was about a 2 beer ?? job . After much research, I decided to go with the BORLA. Borla never disappoints. IMO the Stype is perfect with a mean bass low tone, no drone at cruising speeds and louder when you get on it. Video attached but it does not do it justice. Also was I able to even out the tailpipes which were uneven sticking out the back and driving me nuts.

Were you able to just add the mid section to the factory Tremor exhaust? If so, what is the part #?

YES~ Borla Mid Section, (tremor specific Part# 60732), kept the OEM Tailpipes
Thanks! I have a '23 5.0 with the BAP that shares the same exhaust as the Tremor 5.0. I just emailed Borla to see if they plan on making a mid section S-Type offering for that as well.

Swapped out the battery 20 minutes ago in a last ditch effort to try and save the shifting before I go to the dealer. Since the OTA update it’s been painful to drive. Has been slamming through gears and very oddly shifting from 4-5, almost felt like it was slipping. Then today it stopped using 5th all together. My window starting acting up and rolled itself down again so I figured maybe it’s electrical. Went and got a new battery, shifting and everything is working as it should and the CEL is gone. If your transmission feels like it’s going to blow up maybe try a battery.

I was getting extremely frustrated. It was actually hard to drive the truck with no 5th gear and constant limp mode and wrench icon. I didn’t even think the battery was a possibility until the window started acting up for the second time now. I am crossing my fingers. I was ready to burn the truck to the ground today.

Weird things happen with these trucks when battery gets low. Unplugging battery would reset shift tables on older trucks. Not sure about this generation but I don't see why it wouldn't do the same thing. ?‍♂

Fingers crossed it lasts. My friend was with me today after work and audibly said “what the f*ck was that” when it downshifted slowing down. Felt like a bus rear ended me. This truck has been doing whacky things. The ghost windows that roll themselves down are the icing on the cake lol.

Installed the MegaOhm remote back up beeper delete AND linked it to the HomeLink, so it can be enabled, or disabled, from one of the HomeLink buttons.

Details?

A body shop removed and disposed of my DIY bypass. I looked into that system, but didn't want a fob... How did you link it?

A different set of instructions didn't work but this one did.

Friend, I put this exact Borla midsection on my 5.0 BAP. And it sounds AMAZING. Even if Borla tells you they don't recommend it, like they did me, just do it.

The only reason they don't recommend it is because they are too stupid to figure out how to get their hands on a V8 equipped Tremor or BAP to do sound testing. It truly blows my mind.

Beware, cylinder deactivation is slightly noticeable, as it is with many other aftermarket exhausts, but nothing crazy.

Just do it!
