How does PTS record DTCs? My truck is now constantly popping up the "Check Headlamp System" every 15 minutes or so but PTS does not show that many faults.

How does PTS record DTCs? My truck is now constantly popping up the "Check Headlamp System" every 15 minutes or so but PTS does not show that many faults.
PTS pulls the connected data and reports any codes recorded in the vehicle. The warning you see in the dash may present itself differently as a DTC, but can't say for sure. I didn't really look at the codes I sent you; I was kinda busy at work and just printed everything into a pdf and sent it when I had a chance.

I was just curious because my dash is constantly lighting up with a Check Headlight System message multiple times a day but PTS doesn't seem to be showing that much activity and even skipped days that have the most warnings pop up while driving.

@Slappy McGee You're only showing a DSP update. Ford has to release the next GWM for you in order for you to be able to get fully updated.
So does that mean Ford has the software and just hasn’t added my truck to the “OTA List” or that they haven’t yet released the update generally?

I don’t quite understand how I’m current in FDRS but seemingly far behind on Power up versions.

The problem is on Ford's side. It is a very common issue right now affecting many people. Lightnings, Mach Es, etc. Your truck is fine.

Vin - 1FTFW1ED5MFB78029 Had issues getting original Blue Cruise updates on 2021 Powerboost and had to take it into the dealer to update. SYNC 4 says I'm on software version 22192_product and revision 498 which seems quite old. Having issues w/ Android Auto that some say may be related to out of date modules.

Please advise.

Yes, that is old. Your OTA history is below. Your truck has been sent updates, but most of the updates expired before they got a chance to install. Judging by the inconsistent data your truck reports to the cloud, it does not seem like you drive this truck regularly. Due to the way the OTA process works, starting the vehicle while you have an OTA in your queue is necessary for the update to actually kick off. I don't think there is anything wrong with your truck. You are one APIM update away from full-screen Android Auto. I would recommend looking into FDRS and updating the truck yourself. It will take the OTA process a long time to get you caught up at this rate.

You are correct that I don't drive it more than a few times a week so depending on how quickly those OTA updates expire it might be tough to get all of them caught up.
Ford does not pay dealers to update modules even under warranty. Expect resistance when you ask them to do it. You are so far behind, that a Mongoose would cost less than the per-hour rate your dealer would charge to get your truck fully updated.

Some info on this would be amazing. My truck has been at the dealer since January 9th. The dealer said they tried to update the ipma and failed and are now waiting for tech line. Thank you

Has Ford issued a new BCM update that DOESN'T brick the quad lights on the XLTs? Just asking out of curiosity.

Yea, your truck is all messed up right now. They've tried everything I would have tried to fix it. Something went wrong when they tried to update the IPMA on 1/9 and they have not been able to recover the module. It looks pretty bad. They need engineering to get involved.
