I picked my truck from the dealer yesterday for a parking sensor issue and while they had the truck they updated the software to BlueCruise 6.1.0.

Could you please check if any modules or anything else was updated? My vin is 1FTFW1E88PFC11614 thank you
The dealer didn't update anything. You got 6.1.0 two days ago via OTA.

Any updates available for 1FTEW1EP1MKD41174 ? Last OTA update? Thanks in advance!
Last APIM OTA recorded was 11/1/2022. Your truck is pretty far behind on Sync 21233

Modules pending updates are below. This list is not showing any APIM, GWM or TCU updates, but you have updates pending for those modules, too. I don't know why you haven't gotten any updates in so long as your truck is past the old software where early 2021's were known to get stuck not receiving updates. I would recommend looking into FDRS and updating the truck yourself.

If your BC doesn't work, the dealer can help you. You have the 21G01 campaign open for Bluecruise programming on your VIN. I would schedule an appt ASAP. If you get the next Sync update that brings your Sync version up to next version, then the 21G01 config program won't work on your truck and it will be more difficult to get it working. The last OTA you got was 4.2.4 back in October, so it is likely that the next update you get will be the one that brings your Sync version up. Without FDRS, there is nothing that will activate BC for you. Your truck was skipped over the update that activated BC as happened to many early 2021 trucks.



The last successful OTA you had was on 11/1. In December, you were sent an APIM update twice, but it failed to install due to a software mismatch. Not sure if that somehow messed something up, but your problem is one I've heard mentioned before and the APIM runs the touchscreen, so maybe. I would message Jesse to have him check or just wait for the update to be resent and hopefully fix the issue.
Contacted Ford Tech Support and I have to drop it off at the dealership Monday for a few days. Hope it gets fixed.

Had a phantom update notification twice this week showing a scheduled update was ready but the info showing the old update that completed last week. Can my VIN be checked to see if there's a secret update getting installed?

We went in through this little grommet on the passenger side of the firewall.

Passenger side grommet looks difficult to access from inside the cab. Even with removing the glove compartment cover I can't see the grommet. I can see the one on the driver side but would rather route thru the passenger side. Was it difficult to route power and ground wiring thru the passenger side? Any tips?

I see I checked your truck before. A dealer did an APIM resent in October in an effort to get your updates going, but nothing has happened. When you can, send me a pic of your "about sync" screen so I can ask Jesse to check for any possible config issues that may be preventing updates. Your truck is on Sync 22095 which is past the hump where they stuck, but that Sync version is almost 2 years old now. You should have gotten something by now.

We only ran the positive cable through the grommet, and yes, it was a PITA to find it on the other side. We grounded the amp on a bold under the rear seat. I'll try to remember to take a pic of the bolt we used next time I get in my truck.

Too bad you didn't find this thread sooner. Seems like your truck just went over 36k miles and are out of warranty (unless you bought extended warranty). Your truck is on Sync 20301 since May of 2021 when it received an update that installed this bad software on your APIM known to break the OTA process. Without a dealer manually updating your APIM or diagnosing it as faulty and replacing it with a new one, your truck will never get an update. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

@Murph38 Your truck is fine in terms of software config and is ready for the next OTA whenever the mothership decides to send it. You've just had crappy luck with the OTA process queueing you up for an update. Your truck is fine.

You are only showing a DSP update right now. You are not on the latest Sync version, and there are no updates showing for you at this time. I have seen this a lot recently and from my understanding, the issue is on Ford's side. I would save the $50 for now until they get things sorted out and the rest of the updates you need are released.

You had TCU update 6.4.0 sent to your truck yesterday and it installed successfully. You're truck is on the latest Sync version. Looks like a dealer updated your GWM and APIM on 1/15. No issues that i can see.

Hello. I purchased in late December (of 2023) a new-to-me 2021 F-150 and am wondering why the Sync 4 software version is at 21008_Product Revision 252.

Upon receipt of the truck, noticed the modem serial number was blank, connectivity features were grayed out, etc. The dealer completed the 'fix' last week, plus a replacement H6 battery so now the FordPass connectivity works, automatic updates selected, etc.

I take it back to the dealer next week for an interior issue and would like to be informed on what to do/say regarding the updating Sync 4 software version.

Please will you please check the OTA and module details?

Thanks. The update did not show up this morning in FP app. I received an email (EA) regarding feedback on 6.4, but wasn’t clear if for my F150 or MachE.
