Your battery is not the problem, You have to have an update sent to you before the battery can affect the update installation process. I don't know the history behind the Super Duties to know if you guys had update problem where they would get stuck not getting them, but you're truck is a 2022 on Sync 21136 which is old, but past the older software 2021 would get stuck on.Thank you! I bought the truck used 5 days ago. I have it charging as we speak so I’ll give it a week or two.
Did you figure out anything with our broken trucks and the IPC updates. I am really hoping that the CAN bus method is no longer needed.Yes, the module updates are with FDRS. I just got home. I'll check for you before I start tinkering with my truck to try and fix whatever tf I broke updating my IPC earlier.
Ford won't pay dealers to perform module updates and nobody likes to work for free. You'd need 6-10 hours worth of module updates to be fully up to date.
I should be getting this in my queue before end of year OTA. I'm really hoping same that it is able to complete without CAN method. At the same time if it does work I'm wondering how they fixed what we thought is a physical defect.Did you figure out anything with our broken trucks and the IPC updates. Maybe enough people with failed IPC updates have had their trucks into dealerships to fix it including mine that Ford found a workaround instead of paying for the 5+ hour update procedure. My tech noted in the paperwork that he was not amused by the time required after it failed the USB procedure and required CAN bus.I should be getting this in my queue before end of year OTA. I'm not amused either having done it twice this year. ?Maybe enough people with failed IPC updates have had their trucks into dealerships to fix it including mine that Ford found a workaround instead of paying for the 5+ hour update procedure. 6.8.0 installed with the USB. I got some weird error message, but a PMI fixed the issue. I didn't have to CAN this one in like the others.I should be getting this in my queue before end of year OTA. Mine is a 2021 XLT though. Thanks again.Your battery is not the problem, You have to have an update sent to you before the battery can affect the update installation process. Thank you, I have tried all the tricks to get it to take an OTA. I was aware that it had never received one, glad you were able to confirm in.No recent OTA activity showing. The Sync version your truck is on is the same one it left the factory with when it was built. It does not seem like your truck has ever recorded an OTA. Definitely not normal.
Yea, I confused your VIN with another one. In your case, a new battery may be warranted. SoC and capacity is being reported very low to Ford.Mine is a 2021 XLT though. Thanks again.
