Isn’t that just the 13th iteration of software version 6?Improving false eyes-off, so can you look at scenery now? ?
Also, WTF Ford version numbers.
Makes me wonder what other random numbers are coming up.

Nope. Ford just throws out whatever numbers they feel like at the time. Lately even sending out new updates using old version numbers. If you expect any sense out of the OTA process you won't find it with Ford. Maybe in a few more years.Isn’t that just the 13th iteration of software version 6?
That must be why I've got 6.2.0 like 10 times nowNope. Ford just throws out whatever numbers they feel like at the time. Lately even sending out new updates using old version numbers. If you expect any sense out of the OTA process you won't find it with Ford. Maybe in a few more years.
Appreciate the Intel, has there been any indication on what it may include?Since it is not a secret anymore, I'll let you guys know. BC 1.4 is actively being rolled out to Mach E's in the EA program. A few people posted about it on the Mach E forums, and Ford kicked out at least one person from the EA program for violating their terms and conditions; most likely more than one person. To anyone here on EA: When they roll it out to the F150, I suggest you keep it to yourself.
(Or send me a PM. Your secret is safe with me.)
Or post and tell us all about it using a burner account that can’t be traced back to you.Since it is not a secret anymore, I'll let you guys know. I do, but not sure if I want to post it publicly or not yet. Not until I get consent from the source, anyway.Appreciate the Intel, has there been any indication on what it may include?
I guess this answers my question about extending my subscription on my 21. The features sound identical to 1.3 with more stability.Group ID 1 - Software Update 7.0.0
This Ford BlueCruise 1.4 brings the best hands-free highway driving performance yet to keep you hands-free longer. Model Year 2021 and 2022 vehicles also get the latest BlueCruise features - Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning as well as an upgrade to the ACC system with Predictive Speed Assist.
BlueCruise 1.4 (equipped vehicles only): • More hands-free highway time: In our internal testing, BlueCruise 1.4 stayed engaged in hands-free mode for an average of 13 times longer compared to BlueCruise 1.0, 8 times longer compared to BC1.2 and 2 times longer compared to BC1.3. • Much smoother drive: BlueCruise 1.4 brings significantly greater in-lane stability and improved control of the vehicle in the center of the lane - 10x greater in-lane stability than BlueCruise 1.0 and 8x more stability than BlueCruise 1.2 and 1.3. • One button activation: On-the-road activation of BlueCruise just got easier. Simply press the Adaptive Cruise Control button on your steering wheel to activate BlueCruise while in a Blue Zone. No need to also press the Lane Assist button on the steering wheel. New Features (Model Years 2021 and 2022): • Lane Change Assist: allows you to use the turn signal switch to indicate a desired lane change, which the system will perform when the path is clear. It will also suggest a lane change in slower-moving traffic. • In-Lane Repositioning: can help provide more space by subtly shifting away from vehicles in adjacent lanes, giving you a little extra room when you need it. • To manage your Ford BlueCruise settings, go to your in-vehicle Driver Assistance screen. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Predictive Speed Assist: • When Predictive Speed Assist is active, the ACC system will now temporarily adjust the vehicle speed in advance of curves and will display a road geometry indicator in the instrument cluster display explaining the reason for the speed adjustment. • Predictive Speed Assist will now adjust the vehicle speed to the applicable speed limit in advance of speed limit signs. • The In-vehicle Driver Assistance screen will still show a Speed Sign Recognition slider. To activate Predictive Speed Assist, push the slider to the right.
Available feature. BlueCruise requires a Connected Service plan, FordPass® App, and modem activation. Equipped Ford vehicles come with either a 90-day trial or a 3-year Connected Service plan, after which purchase is required. See Ford BlueCruise | Consumer Reports Top-Rated Active Driving Assistance System | Ford.com for more details. BlueCruise driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace safe driving or driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. Only remove hands in a Hands-Free Blue Zone. Always watch the road and be prepared to resume control. See Owner’s Manual for details and limitations.
Busy at work, but as soon as I get a chance later today, I'm buying my 3 year/$600 plan. The more they sell, the more incentive they have to get it to us. I hope so, anyway.I guess this answers my question about extending my subscription on my 21. The features sound identical to 1.3 with more stability.
On the Mach E, 7.0.0 updated the CMR, PSCM, CMR and IPMA. It will most likely be the same for us.Yea I’m really hoping the EA stuff on the MME goes wells and they can roll out the remaining bits to the f150.
does anyone know what the f150 is missing beyond 6.8.0 update to make this work?
7.0.0 seems obvious but what else should we be waiting on pins/needles for?
Now we know. Fords release notes for BlueCruise 1.4 sent to early adopters states it will be available to anyone with a 2021 or newerNo one knows...
It would make sense for Ford to push it to every truck capable of running it so they can start getting that subscription money they want.
Not sure if there is a hardware difference 21 vs 22+ that is the issue, or if someone just decided it isn't worth it. Many of the 21 trucks based on the few that come here to complain have never had BC work at all. That could be the determining factor and only rolling it out to trucks that left factory with it working.
Good, no more IPC. ?On the Mach E, 7.0.0 updated the CMR, PSCM, CMR and IPMA. It will most likely be the same for us.
2021 or newer could apply to only MME. I don't believe it until I see it. Seems very likely to happen for F-150 though. Now we know. Fords release notes for BlueCruise 1.4 sent to early adopters states it will be available to anyone with a 2021 or newer
