Today, I noticed there is a recall issued for my VIN at https://www.ford.com/support/recalls/ and I wonder if anybody received the same recall notice and fixed the issue. I just want to know how long the fix will take as my local dealers won't provide me a loaner for this.
I'm in North NJ and I have 2023 XLT PB. When I called two local dealerships, the closest dealership told me that they need to order a part and replace it with no ETA. However, they denied to give me a loaner as I didn't purchase the truck from them. The second dealership told me they would give me a loaner but this specific recall isn't entitled for a loaner and they don't offer a shuttle service. The service advisor sounded like he didn't know much about this recall and told me I need to bring my truck in for an inspection which would take about a half day to determine if my truck need this recall or not although I told him that this recall is listed under my VIN, and he even said they just need to fix it if needed with a zip tie. That's when I said Thanks but no thank you and hung up.
Last time I brought my truck in to replace a bad turbo, they kept coming up with an excuse and kept my truck over 2 weeks when promised me that it would be fixed in two days. I really hate my local dealerships and I will only bring my truck for recall services.
