This is the sort of information that is useful for folks who are BUYING trucks. IMHO, there is no reason to patronize dealers who offer crummy service. You can buy a truck off of the internet with ZERO dealer involvement; dealers exist to provide service. The dealers who can't or won't fulfill that obligation should be replaced with the Ford website while the dealers who do deserve our business.

i would have never thought about my dealer if he had not had the truck i was looking for
i figured he was like the other small town dealers around here. lazy, sloppy, bad service etc
BOY was i surprised
they treat you like good family all the time no matter what you need. even the owner likes to glad hand when he is in the office and you would never know he is owner. blue jeans and ford country polo shirt like the rest of the men that work there. he is the change we needed around here

Well I never experienced that kind of experience from any dealerships in NJ & NY lol.
My best experience was bring my car in then pick up a loaner(about 10 minutes stay at a dealership) then go back whenever the service is over with Lexus & One of Audis. Honda & two Audi dealerships around me made issues worse and I had their corporate team involved to return my leased vehicles early without any penalties due to their mistakes.

I have been working in small towns quite a bit and that has been my experience as well. I had an awful experience as a teenager in which a dealership that my family bought a new car every 4 years from bent us over a barrel on a repair. My mom just paid it without bothering, but I was livid that they had cheated us. They charged $1200 for a ring and pinion gear (just the parts, not labor) in 2000, when a standard gear set from GM was $90, a nice racing set from Summit was $150 and a forged and tempered stainless ring and pinion set from Lingenfelter Performance was $350. I went to the service manager to ask if the charge was a mistake and his exact words were "Well, I guess they're proud of them."

I got the same notification 2-3 months ago Ford sent me a letter saying when parts were available they would notify me. While waiting Ray Skillman Ford in Greenwood Indiana made a mobile appointment with me came to my house and made the fix. They put a thick plastic wire tie around the wiring harness and the rear axle to hold the wiring secure from rubbing.. Guess I will go from there and see. I hope everyone can see this if I'd known I could have done that myself but as I said I'll see. I posted before but didn't think to send the pictures of the fix. The mobile repair guy was going to throw the leftover plastic tie away but I saved it
