In your case, you can try the dealership route again. You're on Sync 22146 which is past the older broken software that was difficult to get the truck out of. However, they screwed you by saying they did 21G01 because now your VIN doesn't have that campaign open and active anymore. That same dealer needs to properly do what they claim they did.
Can you give me some evidence or proof or something to take with to show them that The modules I need updated haven’t actually been updated?

I can tomorrow when I'm back in the office, but they know damn well they didn't do it. They have access to the same thing I do and more. Maybe the tech told the service advisor he did, but it was not done. If the service advisor knew how to use the tools at his disposal, he would know, but they usually just take the techs word for it. All they have to do is look at the vehicle history in PTS the days your truck was there and they can see exactly what was done and what wasn't even attempted.

I think I might tackle it myself using the forum guide. Seems pretty straight forward and easy. I’ll just order the Mongoose and purchase a 2 day license of the software. I’m familiar with forscan and work in IT so I assume I can manage on my own. Thoughts?

When I update the modules in my truck will I then see Blue Cruise in my FordPass app under connected services? Also, will I get the OTA software updates for my Sync 4 version etc.?

I *assume* you'll get BC shortly after completing required updates. If you have it then it will show in FordPass and on your sync info screen.
I had a two day update marathon after buying my truck with FDRS. Notification pop up on my phone within 2 minutes of installing the update that added Amazon Alexa.

Your truck is farther behind than I was so it could take you more than two full days to to current versions on all modules. Should be able to get far enough to get your BC working though. Seen posts of people far behind current with working BC.

So it takes that long for each module to update? I ordered a Mongoose and am going to give it a go. Hopefully after I get my modules closer to current I’ll get blue cruise. Disappointed in Ford service for sure. This shouldn’t be that difficult.

It would be much different if Ford would compensate dealers. It takes several hours to do updates even when the USB option works. If USB fails you are looking at 6 hours for a CAN bus update for IPC module for example. 4 hours to do the camera module. Head over to the FDRS thread and read up on the process. It's not difficult but it's forever waiting. I did a lot of binging TV shows that weekend. License is two calendar days so I recommend a weekend you don't need to go anywhere and start on Friday evening. Sunday mornings Ford has maintenance so servers are randomly down. My particular weekend I couldn't do anything until 1pm Sunday. Buy license on Friday it's good Friday Saturday Sunday until midnight.

Could I get a check on what modules need updated on VIN 1FTFW1ED5MFC06184

Are any OTA's queued up?

My truck is one that got behind due to the grayed out OTA button. It caught up June to Oct to 2.7.3 then skipped 2.7.4 through 3.5.1. I got 3.5.2 to 4.2.1 from 6/13/23 to 7/5/23.

I seem to be stuck on 20312_PRODUCT Revision: 243

I've had my truck in twice for service hoping to get this resolved and updated to 3.5.3 but no luck.

No OTA action since 4.2.1 back in July. I do not have FDRS to check for modules with pending updates.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your truck is on Sync 20301, and that is bad software known to break the OTA process on early 2021 trucks. It is the same software your truck left the factory with when it was built and your truck has never recorded an OTA since it was built.

Contact your service advisor, and tell him/her that your truck has never recorded an OTA update since it was built. They would need to manually update your APIM and reference Ford TSB 22-2404. What will most likely happen is that they won't be able to update it, they will have to order a new APIM for your truck, and bring you back in once it arrives as chances are, they will be on backorder.

Hello!
I would like to see if there are any updates available for my truck. Just picked it up about a month ago and these over-the-air updates are very new to me.

I appreciate anyone's assistance in identifying if there are outstanding updates needed.

Thanks!

Your truck being a 2023 was built with most of the updates already. You did get 4.2.2.1 on 7/14 which means the only OTA remaining for you is 4.2.2.2. Both of these updates are to prep the truck for future updates, so there won't be anything new there with either one of them. I am sure that 4.2.2.2 will be sent to you eventually. There is no way to trigger the OTA being sent to your truck; they are pushed out randomly to VIN's in batches.

Thanks for checking on that! I passed the information off to the service manager and will be dropping it off in the AM for some body work. Appreciate it! Hopefully I can get it moving.
