Luckily I set a reminder on my calender telling me my subscription is up on tuesday.

I've been paying $6 dollars a month for a year and it's going to jump up to $23 so I guess it's time to cancel and play the what price will they offer game.

It wouldn't matter so much but I only have figured out how to set 5 channels that I scroll through with the steering wheel buttons and somehow I've messed that up because now there is regular radio in there that isn't even on a station. irritating.

Push and hold on screen to set presets at bottom of screen. Can be mixed radio and Sirius.

Can't answer the Sirius cost. I'm on a free trial until August. :)

Is that how you remove the presets too? I want to get rid of the radio not on station. How many presets can you set?

I haven’t paid for Sirius since I bought my lifetime subscription in November 2005. 210 months later, that $500 has averaged down to about $2.40 a month.

As for adding and removing presets, there is a setting for how many rows of five buttons you want. I don’t think you can go below one row of five buttons.

Wait, they're not paying you to listen to that poor quality? My truck has an AM tuner in it if I ever get the itch for horrible quality sound :ROFLMAO:

There's much better quality audio options these days for the money, I just couldn't see spending even a penny to have such disappointing quality.

you'd have to change the radio?

I believe they are referring to digital options with music files and streaming. Satellite radio is under heavy compression so quality suffers. They cannot improve it with modern compression algorithms because all the existing radios wouldn't be able to play it.

You should be able to easily get them to match your existing $6 per month when you call to cancel. I've seen similar offers emailed to me already within trial period so I think that is the standard offer now.

yeah, sometime around 2004 here for lifetime and have transferred it now to my third vehicle at a small cost. Did pay for streaming a couple times before they bundled it. With it on the F150 currently, but use the app to stream when in one of our other cars. I probably listen to Sirius the most with Pandora second. AM/FM sucks.

If you are dead set on Sirius I would consider using it through the iOS or android app on CarPlay/AA and change the audio quality setting from normal to maximum. I don’t do this often but will on long rides with my wife. Best part is it is free as part of her subscription which we renegotiate every year and have been between $2-6/mo for the past decade.

When the time comes to renew, I’m just very upfront with SXM. I tell them it’s not worth more than $5/mo. I’ll either pay that or they can terminate my service. I’m always very polite about it, but I don’t beat around the bush. I haven’t ever paid more than $5/mo and I’ve been a subscriber for several years now.

I did your approach. $4.99 with taxes etc. ended up being $6.06 which is what I've paid for the past year.
