You must have a dtc related to the IPMA. The dtc has to be cleared before it will work.

I really feel like the biggest dufus, but I don't know what the "corresponding spreadsheets" are, regarding this hitch assist feature.

Didn't seem to work for me on my 21 Lariat. I would give it 99.9% chance I did something wrong but this is what I did. Now when I press the Pro trailer center button, it chimes, the ON light turns on and nothing happens on my screen. I set everything back and it is working as it did before.

Thank you for trying. I'm not sure if played any part in it not working for you but I went back and edited the original post to include resetting the APIM after the changes.

I didn’t see that. I can run out in a few and try again and reset the apim after.

Yes, the changes you made are correct. If you have any DTCs after the changes then try clearing them before trying.

Ok some progress. I reset the APIM after and I did have DTCs I cleared. I selected no when it asked if I had a trailer connected. I am now getting the same error as jimfointain. I don’t have a hitchball to install as suggested in the info screen in the 3rd image because I don’t really tow. I don’t specifically need this, was just trying to help out. The orange is also interesting

I was able to make the changes to my 22 Lariat. After taking a short drive, placed in reverse and pressed button, it prompted if a trailer was connected (not like in the photo/ it was at the bottom) and it search and then requested I put the trailer tongue in the smaller area. I just didn’t have my trailer to connect to. My screen did the weird color change when changing screens but it was grey not orange. I will have to check with the trailer tomorrow. Truck is up to date besides the BCM from last summer after they pulled the latest.

You may need to make a drive after to relearn center also. Any change in the ipma will trigger it to relearn center. So that may also be required after any changes

I failed to mention that I got the same error, but remembered this issue after programming in FDRS that you had to drive it. It did the trick for me as Jesse stated.

That sounds correct when truck is in reverse. The gray area at the bottom is supposed to be there. Orange means there is an error.

I just drove about a half mile and tried again and now it seems to be working. Driving after the changes seems to be required. It was still asking for a hitch so I continued on and picked up a cheap one at Walmart and seems to be fully functioning now.

The only thing I didn’t get was the maneuver box on screen from a few posts back but if I click on the i on the bottom right I get that same pop up.

Correct. That info image is only if you hit the info button on bottom right.

I actually spent some time "adding a trailer", then entering the information, placing the sticker on the utility trailer, calibrating, and finally actually using backup pro assist.

It's my forth truck with the feature and I DO pull 3 different RV's and 2 utility trailers, yet never gotten around to using the system.

I gotta admit it's pretty amazing with the camera views of this 2022 and the dashboard knob doing the geometry for me.

So.... Now I'm ready to chase down this Pro Hitch feature and see if it not only activates, but works well with the trailer.

Antho was good enough to provide the exact values for the ABS and IPMA, but since I had a typo in my APIM values, he couldn't do the same for it.

Here's the current value according to a backup I have

APIM 7D0-01-0 3 is 724D 25E5 3F

What should that "E" be?
