Yup, good advice. I was overtired and low on synapsis power when I posted that. The confusion I was having was related to backing up modules, which I hadn't done before, simply because I was only changing one line here or there. It all makes sense now, and I will be sure to do that before I install new modules in my vehicle.Without firing shots back concerning Windows, any IT information that you have which is valuable, keep at least two copies. For instance, save the file to the hard drive and a USB drive. Or save a copy to a cloud account. If you're really paranoid, have three copies. That way, you always have access.
Personally, I work in Windows, multiple versions of Linux, and IBM mainframe. If you want dependability, nothing beats big iron! It does cost a tad more than a Windows laptop however ...
