If you did module repair that’s apim specific and that’s not something you want to run

There's a new firmware that Ford released yesterday, correct? Anyone test it to see if it revives the headlight module.

My truck is at the dealership and they say it takes hours to take the headlight out and it will be 3-4 days minimum to get this fixed.

When I ran the APIM and fixed it (that should be good to go) I also ran the BCM update.

I swore there was something that said rolling back the BCM to its factory configuation, but it is no longer there. Just saw a TCU and APIM update, running the TCU now.

So, how to roll back the BCM? Does it fix the lighting, or does it corrupt the hardware beyond repair?

If you went through both updates there is no fix other than replacing the headlight module: if they did half the update I can fix it but you’ll have to let me do it

Only did 1/2 the update. TeamViewer on the laptop Im using FDRS on? Ill DL it now. Running APIM update

Yet a forum member who I assume is NOT a Ford factory trained professional, repaired his own truck in........... Well, let's just say it wasn't measured in days.

It's amazing how little respect they have for the consumer. They'll tell us anything and not bat an eye. ?

yEAH.. yOURE IN good shape. Only the first half was done. So all ewe need to do is roll the BCM back.. youll be fine easy enough.. Ill let youknow when I am home and can do it. Will only take a few mins once I am on.

Good to hear. No, no forscan. Never used it, just FDRS and a 2 day license at the moment.

I bought a license for TeamViewer just in case.... Not sure if I needed that.

Thanks a ton for the assist. Unfortunately my headlight module could not be salvaged, but the interior lights are good to go.

Hello Jesse,

I had the BCM module in FDRS and held off after all the ruckus. Now it's gone; only thing left is the APIM. Any thoughts? Hopefully I didn't miss any previous posts.
