Ok, got the full list again...

(Door cubby led part numbers)
ML3Z-13C724-C
ML3Z-13C724-B
ML3Z-13C724-A
ML3Z-14A318-G

Seems like the prices went up for the parts, but the shipping went down...LOL. Looks like I can get them for around $55 each now... one for $23 for some reason (which is what I seem to remember them all being when I looked months ago).

But the shipping instead of $100 is now only $23, which is more reasonable.

I did try parts.ford.com, but no local dealers were listed and the first I tried (about an hour away) was $80/part. I tried a few others and the same. Even the one I tried by going to their site was $20 more on parts.ford.com.

Would be worth it if I were paying with ford points, so definitely worth it if you can find a local shop with reasonable prices.

I think I'm going to just order them.

Which one are you seeing @ $23? May want to confirm, that last one share an almost identical PN with the media bin light around that price. Difference is it has a C and the end vs a G.
When I checked them before ordering they where all in the $5x range showing discount amounts in the $2x range.

There is an alternate URL for the network of Ford dealers who participate in online discount resale. I don’t have it on my mobile unfortunately to post now.
It uses your entered zip to source participating dealers. You can change the zip as needed. I ordered from a neighboring state to avoid use tax as that’s 10% here. shipping has always been $15 or less for me. If you haven’t ordered by the time I get to my desktop I’ll post it is someone else hasn’t buy then.

It was the wrong part. LOL I caught it before completing the purchase.

My last concern with parts.ford.com is that it doesn't show the full part number, so I'm worried I'm not buying all the correct parts. It is now the cheaper option.

I share that concern about Parts.Ford.com, IMO the lack of complete PNs is very discomfiting, often leaving a feeling of a bit of a crapshoot when placing an order.

I'm waffling again because of this. I don't need to order something then find out later I have to have a fight to get it fixed or get my money back.

By time I fixed it at the dealers direct site (Which does list the full part numbers), it was back upwards of $300.

Is the main driver using Fordpass points? If not, should be able to get them around $220 shipped. If points aren’t an issue I can get the url and you can see the associated dealers. From my order:

Ford F-150 Cup holder light installation / media bin light / glove box light / ambient lighting change E4484778-509A-4403-8490-FED82EF0CFF8

So I’m curious, when you slide the whole console back, there’s only harnesses that need to be detached in order to do that and no hard cables/rods since everything is electronic?-correct.
I don’t have my truck just yet but I’m anxious to see how that’s gonna work. Seems like it be easier than taking the whole front HVAC panel off. Thanks
Bottom Line Up Front, Yes, completely shift-by-wire, no cables. The console is connected via the Grey harness on passenger side and a USB connector on driver side. That's It. The rear climate vents goes into a funnel for easy reassembly.
My opinion: it's way easy to slide the center console back. I'll do my best to express with words. There are plastic beauty pieces you have to pull off first. That'll expose the bolts. (2) bolts that attach to the firewall and (4) along the base of the console. Unplug the harnesses and slide the whole thing back... Picture shows it pulled back about 8". This is why my harness was more difficult to connect. I had to slide the console forward while routing the wires through the dash. Ideally, I would incorporate another quick disconnect adjacent to the factory grey connector but I don't want to give JHForman any more hassle. He already did a solid job. ;)

I just received my 22 Lariat today. I popped off the pretty side pieces of the console and could only see 10mm bolts underneath the front media charger bin. I put my seat all the way forward and found a bolt towards the rear of the console down low on the passenger side. Is this one of the bolts and what am I still missing? Thanks for the reply from any of you that have already completed this project. I do have all my parts and two harnesses from JH.

I found that I needed to pull off the bottom decorative trim as well and can see the bolts I was missing.

So, once pulled back, how do you get to the cup holder screws in order to exchange for the replacement w/ ambient lighting?

Do you just flip the whole center console over to gain access??
Thanks.

im a little late to this thread, but if you get the color changing door lights, you can set the door lights to turn red in the BCM when door is opened.
Thanks for this information, it now goes on the endless list of mods I will someday get too…

I actually have a date set to do some things. Let’s just hope the weather is agreeable.
