The code is the same for each software, but only use FDRS. Did you also make an account on motorcraft? That’s how you log in.

I think the issue was I was trying to do all of this on a MAC running Parallels creating a virtual windows machine. As soon as I switched to a windows laptop it all worked good!

mine went inthe shop for a day. Was told they were doing the BlueCruise update and the trailer software recall. They said the BlueCruise update failed twice so they couldn’t do it. Can anyone look up my VIN and see ifthey did anything??

just a fair warning they probably didn’t do your TRM software either. It’s not on FDRS yet so they wouldn’t have access to it either.

Its bad when you can’t rely on your dealer to fix recalls. Then they clearly flat out lie and say they updated it to fix the recall. I doubt they even tried to do the BlueCruise update because they parked the truck in their back lot for 7 hours before they even touched it.

I think this whole module corruption, OTA problems and trailer module delay is most likely attributable to a bunch of Ford IT folks working from home for two years. Everything is totally screwed up. The dealers like the owners are simply spectators to a melt down.

It isnt really corruption. The updates are failing to load both locations. The files are fine. I told the ne guy on here asking what is wrong and asking for help exactly what his issue was. He said ford had it. So Ill let ford handle him. The IPC update has been an issue from day one. SOme people it loads fine some it doesnt. I dont know why.. I can fix it for anyone though.

The updates are sequenced. You cant get to the next update until ford sees the previous update done. So if the IPC isnt up to date it wont release the next APIM update.

As soon as I fix the peoples clusters the next update shows immediately after a scan.

Since Ford had failed to help. How
Do I get these updates pushed to my truck? I have the scheduled updates checking every day. It always just says no updates. I tried my local ford dealer and they just lie to me. My thought is they have no idea what they are doing so instead of admitting that. They just say the update failed or yep we updated your trailer braking software for the recall etc. there is another dealer across town, should I try my luck with them? Do I have any other options at this time?

does anyone remember seeing the articles before, or right when, the truck was coming out, they put out a heads up to dealerships that these trucks were going to have a lot of problems and to expect a bunch of them to come back in for repairs. does anyone remember seeing that article?

The only way is the follow the instructions on the first page of this thread. A lot of those updates wont even be pushed out even if you were to get some of the update OTA. OTAs only have touched a few select modules.

Your best bet is to go it on your own. Buy the stuff and get it done. If you plabn to wait it out youll be waiting a long time. Dealers just dotn have the time to dedicate to these upfates.. and they only pay a max of 8 hours. Ridiculous. I cant really blame a flag hour tech for punting. I can blame them for the lack of honesty. Just tell the customer.

End of day thats your option. Almost everyone on this thread was in your situation and made the jump. Now they know more than about their truck and how it works and feel more confident when an issue arises. that they can look into it and get an accurate diag. So its doable and beneficial for the long term to do it. If you plan on tossing the truck in a couple years then maybe its not. You have to decide.
